Firmware changelog for base model Turbo

I have just picked up my new Base model Turbo (model year 2015 - this is New Zealand and we are in the future). I noticed that the firmware level is '01'.
Is there anything I am missing if I don't get the firmware updated? I can't find a changelog anywhere.
AFAIK only Specialized NZ have the tooling to do this (and I'm surprised they didn't do this before sending it off to the LBS).
I did a thorough demo ride (2 x 28km) and battery charge on the identical bike and there was nothing obviously wrong with the electronics of a firmware nature.

The firmware you refer to is what you see in the controller on the handlebar. That is the firmware for just the joystick controller and has NOT changed. I just got a replacement from inventory at Specialized and it still is V1.0. OTOH, I also had my 468Wh battery (US) updated and it was V1.60. Each of the major components (joystick controller, battery, and motor) have their own firmware versions. I expect that the versions vary also based on which motor (200W, 250W, 500W) and Battery (468Wh, 504Wh, 540Wh, 691Wh) you have.

Most of the "personality" of the bike is embedded in the battery firmware and its settings (top speed, odometer setting, power settings, etc.)

Thanks @Douglas Ruby
Supplementary question: Is it normal that the bike lights come on and stay on when charging on the bike? If I use the main charger they come on full, and if I use the travel charger they come on in 'strobe' mode which is super annoying. I ended up charging off the bike with the travel charger.

So if you upgrade to the S battery on the X will you get 28 mph top instead of 26 mph as is out of the box? That would be epic!

I don't think so. The max speed of the motor used in the Turbo and earlier Turbo X is 42km/h as documented on the GOSwissdrive web site. This not a battery restriction.

Okay, that makes sense. I see it on the goswiss drive site as well. Would have made the upgrade cost a little more palatable but oh well. Still the extra range would be great.
