I hadn't noticed that, but there sure are a ton of these articles and new on line magazines I never before noticed talking about Ebikes ...

You ever heard of Input Magazine ?

Not here. Both MTB conversions that were here have disappeared, and nobody is riding integrated e-bikes here. There are 2 or 3 noisy stinky gas conversion bikes blatting around.

Sounds like here. Bikes are not cool, diesel trucks are.

The weather is getting nice around here in Palm Springs and I am seeing alot of bikes. Probably 25-30% or so Ebikes. There is a rental shop downtown...

I think that more means an increase in demand for ebike advertising slots. But I am seeing a lot more ebikes around here (san francisco), mostly 2+inch tire ones being used for urban commuting. Though there's selection bias there since that's what I do every day. Had a really nice chat for a few miles with a guy on his first day new Trek (more of a road bike) who was really stoked. I suppose I should start tracking the brand counts.

Very few e-moped type ebikes, though I saw a juiced a while back. I see more fat wheel escooters than I do e-moped bikes, not counting the SCOOT point to point rentals.

I saw very few ebikes this year and I was keeping an eye out for them. Maybe 10 actually on trails since May.

Mikes E-Bikes got deleted? He must have pulled his advertising too. As for the original topic, I can see a market for those bikes for hunters and outdoor workers. I don't see them fitting well on bike paths around me. Ours can be slow and congested on nice days, and riding a powerful bike would be no fun then.

Yesterday, we were stopped on the local bike path when I saw a rider coming up on a bike with pink wheels. I had planned to overtake and pass after she went by, but it turned out to be a cargo e-bike pulling a trailer with a dog. going faster than us. The trailer was off center by at least 6 inches though, so they were weaving a bit.

With the popularity of the fat 20 inchers, I've expected to see some Rad minis or Lectric XP's by now. Nope. I've noted a few full size black fat ebikes.

Yeah, I'm surprised at not seeing an Lectric Xp other than ours here in Palm Springs...

The popularity of Electric Scooters has surprised me a bit...

I don't see many ebikes out when riding, but Electric Scooters are popping up everywhere...

Mind you, E-bikes, and bikes in general are just overpriced right now.... You can pay £300-400 for a nearly 30mph capable scooter.... or end up paying £3000-4000 (or more) for a ebike that does the same....
