Hello guys,

I live in Est of Europe and I have a small business regarding ebikes. More exactly I fixed and fix ebikes. A lot of ebikes are populated with Bosch & Brose equipment ( battery, engine, display) so I my service is dedicated to German ebikes. But in last time, in my service comes customers with Yamaha bikes. For Yamaha I don't have equipment for diagnostic: spare parts, SW diag, dongle and I don't know where I have to registration for this. Do somebody know how can I become authorized service for Yamaha? Maybe my tag is childish but I decided to try all method to find one way to be service authorized
Thanks in advance for answer

Yamaha e-Bike don't operate in Europe. It is Giant/Liv/Momentum that use Yamaha motors (as SyncDrive) in Europe. Some other brands may use Yamaha motors, too, but there is no Yamaha representation for their e-bike products in our continent. (Only Japan and the United States).

Actually, Yamaha made moves and now is in the Europe market: https://www.bike-eu.com/market/nieu...9.1569752491.1612909005-1842874288.1612909005

They are located in the Netherlands. Maybe your best bet is to contact them directly here and inquire as to what it takes to become a factory authorized dealer: https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/be/nl/b2b/e-bike/contact-us/

Here is their Dutch ebike main page from which I linked the above Contact Us page: https://www.yamaha-motor.eu/be/nl/b2b/e-bike/

I imagine a few of those ebikes you've seen for service were Yamaha powered Haibikes. Do you have an on-line copy of the X94 Service Manual for the PW drive? I may be mistaken, but unlike Bosch or Brose, I don't recall any special Yamaha specific electronic tools required to service trouble codes for the PW. Here is the link where you can download the X94 Service Manual, for free: https://www.manualslib.com/products/Yamaha-X94-Series-3916500.html Most of us Yamaha powered ebike owners have this manual handy.

Good luck, hope this is of some help. Let us know how it works out for you!

Goog morning Stefan and thanks for reply.
I will try harder. I think Yamaha e bikes are like Bosch ebikes. It have to have SW diag and dongle for investigation the fault

Good morning,
Yes, you are right: in last times I received HAIBIKES powered by YAMAHA engines.
I opened the link suggested and I let one message with my request/wishes. I hope in one week to respond me.
Your link with repair manual is welcome.
I will inform you about my status for registration, be sure

Hy Guys,

I wrote to Raleigh https://www.raleigh.co.uk/gb/en/ about this Issue and they respond me very quick.
They gave me one link in google drive where I could did download SW diagnostic. Also there I could find some documents PDF with description/coding with error codes, troubleshooting and service manual.
There are very useful.
For ebikes YAMAHA I don't need one dongle device, just SW application and USB cable is enough

Thank you for all, guys. If somebody needs SW application can write to [email protected], or ask me about it.
I can say this topic is closed.

The ebike division of Yamaha recently relocated from Japan to Demark. Maybe try contacting the Demark HQ?

Thanks for posting... are you saying that individual consumers can now download the SW diagnostic for Yamaha mid-drives?
Please post the link for reference... I'm sure some members on EBR would like to connect via USB and check for codes, etc. ;)

GREAT information Dan. Do you happen to have the same info for the new 2021 motors with four sensors? Specifically the ST and PW-X2-45. Thanks again.
I'm glad to be helpfull. I don't have this info, yet. I think, when I will have this pb in my service, I will ask/search one more time on the forum.
