Dash 2015 model spotted on the tube.

Reckon the weight of the motor, relative short length of the spokes (due to large hub) and dishing are key. This is obviously not your average road or mtn bike wheel. I understand with all those fat spokes tension will lower than my road bike, by a long shot, and after a few hard bumps with all that motor weight (20 lbs?), well loose and wobbly are inevitable, one nipple was 'finger loose' inside of two days. You'll notice that the drive side (cassette) is tighter than the brake disc side to dish the beastly thing. Over-tighten that side and trouble will ensue as you lose dish and bring up the relative tension of the drive side. Over-tighten in general and the a spoke my break the hub body, expensive repair. Spoke prep over Locktight?

I'd like more insight from Currie before I replace anything after HH's shop Loctited his spokes two months ago and apparently (at least temporarily) remedied his 'constant tweaking' issue. If they could also please comment on Shea's take (above) in regards to tightening/trueing (differently) on one side/the other (or whatever method is required to do the job right) this would help current owners as well. For me, it's madness to consider any of the above (my local LBS Loctited my spokes under 50 miles ago) if the entire wheel needs upgrading in the first place.

REI is not selling Dash now at all and in any case their website says "IZIP bikes purchased on REI.com can only be shipped to the REI store of your choice for pickup". Many mainland stores don't ship ebikes here for any price because the shipping companies are cranky about the batteries in air freight.

Performance Bike also doesn't seem to have Dash in stock and nobody on Amazon either.

Paul,
If you are unable to locate a local dealer for any Izip bikes, give us a call.
We will ship it to you.
