Thanks, James. I'm a big fan of ebikes in the private sector yet only in the public sector when they can be proven to be the more economical/time managed method of providing service to the people (i.e.. a method which the private sector would default to as well if asked to compete for the same contract).
Not a popular position I realize...yet the article states that one mail carriers has at least three different vehicles (assuming one or more of the balance are motorized due to the climate) that their 'motor pool' must stock, maintain and (unfortunately 'not') buy in bulk or standardize on.
How does one time study or properly evaluate that mess?

You're a private non-unionized entrepreneur who delivers milk door to door.
Do you provide your employees motorized transportation in the dead of winter...electric bikes when it warms up...and 'pedal bikes' the rest of the year?
Or do you standardize on one machine (continually improving efficiencies)...and be done with it as humanity has done since the dawn of time?
