Completed my first triathlon of the year!

Are you impressed?

My definition of a triathlon is different from the International Olympic Committee's. Events can include any physical activity you choose to include, but you must complete three in a day. For instance, today's triathlon events consisted of Pilates, a bike ride, and a dog walk. Duration of activity is all up to oneself - - this is not a competitive sport. The object is simply to not rust. One is competing only against the Barcalounger of Death.

Other events which count towards a daily triathlon achievement:

Gardening, firewood splitting, badminton,

Raking the leaves, sex, moving heavy objects

Lawnmowing, a hike, wood stacking

Tree planting, a canoe ride, doing the floors (sweep, vacuum, mop, wax)

Climbing about on ladders doing the gutters or pruning trees, washing the car, filling the truck with stuff and dumping the stuff somewhere else

Washing the windows, helping a friend with moving house, dancing...

Treadmill, rowing machine, digging of any sort...

Your events may be different. So you see, it is a very flexible sport. My aim is to achieve a triathlon 5 days a week. Of course, this will become easier when the weather is more cooperative.

If you manage to complete a triathlon, come here and tell us about it. Good luck!
I don't see jumping around on stage playing guitar and singing on the list.😫

Well, that can be on your list. Do you feel like you've actually used your muscles after you've done it? Then it qualifies.

Another triathlon completed! 2 in a row! Yay me!

1st event: Loading and unloading hundreds of sword ferns, salvaged from one end of the park which is going to be turned into expanded parking lot, to be transplanted to another part of the park which is not going to be logged.

2nd event: dogwalking

3rd event: a 13.2 mile bike ride.

Hereafter, 13 mile bike rides are to be called half-marathons. 😁

Therefore, as it is Friday, I have earned sushi!

MMmmmmm... Sushi...

well just did my Saturday triathlon.
grab groceries that I cant get doing the weekend only 2 mile round trip
go the the movies (not too much to watch lately) (and protein and fat load) I cant eat carbs so I have some chicken skin chops some nuts and pepperoni and maybe some of those cooked cheese crackers maybe 800 calories.
then go home dress and got on a 30 to 40 mile ride and burn it all off.
this was a good day I did this easy ride all on eco burned over 800 calories Saw one dog fight when someone lost control of their big dog. Ran over my first squirrel that thought it could run between my wheels. not sure if I ran over its body or tail but it was a speed bump but when I looked back with my mirror I didn't to see it. maybe the 20mph or the 2.5" tires helped.
Got a record 57 miles on one charge if I road another 18 miles. but thats only 500 feel of climbing in the 35 miles I road.
sorry no squirrel pics.

Wait a minute! I'm seeing one event there, but it was a full marathon (26mi), which counts as two events in my book. What was the third event? Eating chicken skins?? Unless you had to run around after the chicken to catch it in order to skin it, where is the physical activity?

its work going to the movies. I rode three times before the movies. I jsut got back taking my wife o na walk too. see 5 events at last.

OK that works 😉.

I should get extra credit for the exercise my blood pressure got when I kept having to back down the single lane road in the park because logging trucks were pulling out trailers full of dead trees (aka, logs), while I was transporting ferns to restore the understory in parts of the park which are safe from logging... But that's OK. I did three and that's plenty good.

the stress of running over a squirrel has to count for something.

🏅Triathlon today!

First event: Van washing.
Second event: dog walking.
Third event: 16.8mi bike ride (half marathon +)

Car washing is a bona fide event - - remember Mr. Miyagi in Karate Kid: "Wax on, wax off..."

That's not a triathlon! That's one event: a bike ride. The idea is to have three different kinds of physical activity...

Another triathlon completed🏅:

Event #1: 10 mile bike ride (through rain and hail, no less!
Event #2: 2 mile dog walk
Event #3: lawnmowing
😀😁

🏅Today's triathlon consisted of dog walking, gardening, and an 11mi bike ride. Nothing strenuous, but just kept moving.

Today's reward is mackerel stuffed with Greek salad and baked, served with Tajik rice pilov, green salad, and for dessert: zabaglione made with Japanese plum wine and duck eggs. 😀
