I'm looking at buying this bike 2nd hand. The model is a Riese & Muller Multicharger Mixte GT Vario. Can anyone tell me whether it's a Gen1?

If so I understand that probably means a Gen2 Bosch motor, unlike the Gen4 of the current model. Can anyone tell me if there's any other major differences between generations of the bike? I've not managed to dig much up from searching online.

Sorry about the terrible photo of the display, it's what the seller sent me.

This is a 2020 or earlier model (Gen1). You can tell by the location of the the rear wheel lock. Gen2 has it at the top. I'm not super familiar with the spec list changes between the generations, apart from the battery being 500W on this one and 750W on the new generation. I found the spec sheet for MY2020 however so you can look at the equipment: https://www.r-m.de/media/filer_public/f4/de/f4deb91c-073f-431b-80e6-c2f5d0271b63/my20.pdf
Thanks for confirming, that's what I suspected. For the price (£2k) I think it should still be a decent deal. It's virtually NOS, less than 250 miles on the clock, obviously the battery condition is a bit of a gamble.

Do you know if it's possible to upgrade the battery to a bigger one if I feel I need it in future? Looks like all options came with 500kWh batteries so I'm guessing not (and no double battery option on the mixte).

Thanks for digging out the document by the way, that's really useful.
