Boomer is back

So I posted earlier about my search - boomer lady, bad back (upright sit) looking for stability (mid motor and battery), and I need to add one more requirement. I need to have a throttle as getting started on hills isn’t working well (live in Colorado). While my 3 crash experience on the Pedego wasn’t good, the throttle really made a difference. I need to try before buying so not willing to do some that are only available online. Need to thread a pretty small needle but hoping the experts out there can help. Thanks in advance to ya’ll!

Experts would need more than mid motor, throttle and LBS-only purchase. Terrain, distances, max power, budget, step through or diamond frame.

Not an advice, just a few thoughts.
Mid motor is sitting mere few inches lower than a hub, I doubt this would contribute much to stability.
OTH, battery placement is important.
Excluding online bikes limits your choices, excluding hubs would limit it further. Mid with a throttle means Bafang, it's more popular with online retailers than LBS, so - yes, you're threading a small needle.

Other than hill-climbing ability, there is only one thing that you might notice with a hub "in flesh"- how smooth or abrupt are power changes when you go from PAS 0 to PAS1,2 etc, this sometimes can be corrected through display settings. Hubs under 500W rarely have this problem of being "too zippy" on PAS 1 but then again terrain becomes important with 350W hub.
