Best cargo bike under $3,000

Live in Southern California and have 4 kids under 4. Looking for a cargo bike so we can explore local areas with the 2 oldest. Boys. 2.5 and 4. Girls are 1 yr

Area is a little hilly. 5 decent hills around us. Otherwise flat.

Here are my thoughts. Re a cargo bike

• Rad Wagon 4. Coming in sept 2020
• MAGNUM payload
• Blix

I was thinking of spending less than $3,000 since it will be beach bound. Can bang it up a littLe without worrying and not too expensive that I have to worry about it being locked at the beach and being stolen.

Probably need a Caboose cage for the 2 boys for any of the bikes

You should "worry" about theft regardless of the price.

a mid drive would give you a ton more torque on such a bike. the dapu mid drive is really powerful not as smooth as my Bosch but it has more torque. but it also goes through batteries a lot faster.

I wonder if the OP lives near me. Saw a couple with 2 cargo bikes hauling 4 kids around on one of the rides we do. Looked like Rads.
