I have a vado 3.0 with a 480h battery. Is it really possible to upgrade the battery? Specialized website lists the 604h battery and if I am reading correctly, it works on all turbo models. Is it really that easy to upgrade the battery? What things do I need to consider if I want to do so?

I have the same Vado 3.0 and also would like to upgrade my battery for greater range - I shoulda bought the 6 but didn't know that at the time of purchase. The 3.0 has been the most fun bike I have ever had and I have ridden regularly for 71 years. I put 2300 miles on mine since the season started here in MN this spring.

I wouldn’t be surprised if they have forgotten to say that you must take your bike and new battery to an authorized shop for a ”shot” of correct software for your specific model. But I don’t know. By just reading the website you would think it is like you took the battery off the bike for a charge.
I know one thing - you get a black battery and according to a sales guy at a Specialized Concept Store you can exchange the plastic cover with the one from your present battery to match your bike. He could find the battery covers as spares in his computer but no price.
I asked because I was thinking maybe I would like to alternately use my old battery.
But I havn’t looked carefully on the battery to see how easy it would be to exchange the cover and haven’t yet bought a new battery.
Sorry for a lot of words but no real answer to your question:)

I purchased a second larger 604w battery for my vado 3. Slots right in no problem. I carry the second battery with me on my longer rides.

Is the 604Wh battery composed of 18650 cells or 21700 cells?

Not sure dosent say the cell size on the battery.
