I'm looking at Turbo Como SL 4.0 and 5.0s but really dislike the placement of the control switch on the top tube. I also looked at a Turbo Como 3.0 IGH which does have a handlebar control. Does anyone know if the SL 4.0 could be adapted to use the handle bar control fprm the 3.0? Also wondered if it would be possible to add a throttle.
I currently ride a Townie I converted with a TongSheng middrive, on which I was able to add a throttle by devoting a pin that was intended for some other function. I am also fond of it torque sensing, which I don't think these Specialized use, as well as the large variety of data able to be shown on the large color Bafang display.
I'm intending to upgrade to a real dedicated EBike, but so far they've felt a bit like a downgrade from my Townie.
