So with a Hydra, you get the same overall benefits of carbon frame, Internal Geared Hub

While you can get IGH on Hydra, it's chain only AFAIK so not really getting the benefits of IGH and belt that you would with the Apex. That said, I believe pushkar is working on a full suspension / belt solution, albeit short travel, so not suited for long travel where the Hydra full suspenion would shine.

Not gonna happen. One bike may suit up to 3 of the above but not 4. FWIW, neither the Apex or Jug would be that great of a choice for trails.. They Hydra would be better suited for that. Not sure it would make for a good commuter though. Love my Frey CC for commuting, gravel, errands and pleasure. Picked up a lighter eMTB for trails.

Good point. Although I live in a trail infested area, my version of trails are more gravel paths that my 5 year old can navigate as well. Nothing too crazy or downhill

I agree with the post to check out the Hydra.

What on God's green earth do you have to do to get an Apollo? Camp out on their doorstep? Or be one of Eric's close personal friends? As much as I disparage and am thoroughly distrustful of Eric and his band ... I would rob my kids college fund tomorrow to own an Apollo. A blue one to be specific. Even if I knew I was going to order a motor for it from pushkar.

I reckon Eric was smart. Evil but smart. He looked at the Wu flu situation and said there is no way to win here, we'll just get ourselves in a hole, and shut it all down. Eric has juice with Bafang and frame makers. I warrant he is about to come back with a vengeance. There are whispers on the wind. If he can steal or copy the Innotrace controller there's no stopping him.

Why? That's one fugly bike now with the new battery with stickers. I'd still rate it prettier that the Jug though. Both are kind of like rating bikes you would ride via beer scale..

any of the bikes you mentioned above will handle moderate trails just fine!

I have a Biktrix Juggernaut Classic.

It's an OK bike. 7 out of 10. I blew out the rear hub in the first 100 miles but BikTrix took care of it.
It's a big heavy bike but I use it for hunting and crashing through the woods so I'm Ok with that.

In the summer I swap the tires for slicks and when I go on social rides and someone needs a bike I ride it on tar.
In the winter I put studded tires on it and ride single track with it. Since fat tire riding is "low and slow" it does OK.

The front fork is complete crap, its an RTS Guide and it's crap.
The only other thing that really chapped my hide was the the wheels are 5mm skewers and with the front and rear spacing it's next to impossible to find a wheel set with those specs.

Hey the 90's called they want their wheels back!

Warranty​

Luna has always offered way and beyond our advertised warranty. That is nothing new, but recently people have perpetuated the myth we do not support our products. We have always supported our products over and beyond any written warranty.
We are offering a longer written warranty in answer to the forum haters.
This warranty covers manufacturer defects and does not cover user neglect.

• 2 years on the carbon frame
• 1 year on the battery
• 6 months on the motor and other components

6 month warranty on components!!! But you can buy an extended warranty for 1 year at $500! Ya I'm out!

Warranty

I must be reading impaired. For 30 days after you get the bike we will replace any parts that are defective.

"The power system (motor, controller, display, and battery) we will cover for 90 days for part replacement."

"If you are the person who requires a lot of mechanical help and support we suggest you buy your ebike from a local ebike shop."

This works for committed DIY eBikers. But for many here a potential nightmare.
