A "Hunting E-Bike"

I think I'm going to buy a 2020 Trek Superfly 5 hardtail e-bike for trail use. The hardtail is so I can use a rack with panniers.
Mainly I'll use it for scouting for game and hunting in central and northern Nevada where I'll need to carry out boned deer or elk meat in front and rear panniers. But I'll also be riding trails around the Las Vegas valley for fun and conditioning.

Q. Would 27 "plus" tires be better than larger wheels/tires?

Sorry, maybe it's me just getting old, but I can't imagine trying to balance that kind of weight while riding on an uneven surface (even if it were paved!). I would need a trailer of some sort for sure.

Senior Hicks, I have looked at a bike trailer but since I have front and rear panniers and am experienced on how a bike with loaded panniers handles I think I'll try them first. In addition to the panniers I'll have a 40 lb. backpack on. Yep, "top heavy" but going very slowly.

Maybe set up a mock load at home to see how it goes? Might save you from a bad situation under less than ideal conditions. -Al

Don't know much about it:
Not much of a total weight capacity though, my Riese & Muller is 140kg, some 160kg.
Or Riese & Muller Multicharger, you can put 60kg on the rear.
