66 Miles of Ownership Question

I will start off with praise for this bike and also do a quick review into a question. Sold to me with 30 Miles on the odometer and rode 66 miles from Manhattan into Brooklyn it has been nothing but a breeze. Today I added some aftermarket "beaver tails" for the front and rear and was looking for a proper bicycle phone mount but came to realization I don't want to add anything else to this beautiful frame. <3 The motor is really responsive in Turbo , and it picks up almost instantly. The battery life for me is perfect because its a lot of city riding. I really enjoy beating Google Maps ETA also, that was fun I only have one question, how do you adjust the SEAT. Does it not adjust? What am I missing? Please help me with this seat question, it feels like such a simple adjustment but I am having the craziest time figuring it out. Can anyone chime in on this? I cannot see without a close up pic but it is likely a quick- release ( like the one on the front axle) so you pull out or open the lever , raise or lower seat and close the lever again. There will be a wheel on the other side to adjust the tension snugly on the lever when it is in the open position. Otherwise if it has no lever it could require an allen key. Nice looking bike.

What adjustment do you want to do...height, angle, forward or backward?
If you want to raise or lower the saddle height, pull the quick release lever (where the seatpost meets the seat tube) out to loosen the clamp. Set to the height you want and push the lever in to tighten the clamp.
For saddle angle, forward and backward adjustment, you will find two 5mm setscrews (1x in the front of the saddle and 1x at the rear of the saddle) where the saddle mounts to the seatpost. Loosen those slightly until the clamp plate that locks onto the saddle rails allows you to adjust the angle, forward and backward position.
Tighten again once you have made your adjustments.
If that doesn’t work, post some photos from the underside of the where the saddle mounts the the seatpost and we can make some further suggestions.

Yes it had a charger. The pole does not move up or down at the moment but will turn to the right a little bit if I put some effort. Not really sure what to do

go to Propel bikes or any local bike store and get the missing parts. Will be less than 20 bucks.

I guess you cut off the light? Get those ends of the bare wires covered. Unless you don't mind them shorting out against the frame. Get the bike to a shop!

Yeah are there any parts you are not showing us in the pics?

I put the light back on, this was just for a clear photo of the pole/seat. I can take a video, and more photos. There has to be a way because I can see a 15 printed and 10 printed on the pole but am unable to pull it up. Im going to keep looking for the online manual, if anyone has it on hand that would help.

I have the same bike and there should be a quick release lever where the seat post meets the frame. Yours seems to be missing. I'm not even sure how your seat post has stayed in one position.
If there's neither a lever or bolt there, you're risking an accident to what most people consider a very important part of their body.

ok there is the quick release! You have all the parts you need. If the seat tube will not slide easily you can get some WD 40 and spray it around where the down tube fits into the frame. Wait a while and the seatpost will become loose enough to slide up and down by hand. I would not suggest using any tools such as a screwdriver to pry apart at the slot except as a last resort.

FIXED! WD40 worked, it was super stuck. Rode it today and the extra extension feel so much better. So smooth, just need a new seat, my ass hurts.

Very individual thing, but it's a pretty good seat. For me, it was a mix of breaking the seat in and breaking myself in. You're going faster than you probably did on a regular bike, so the bumps are bumpier. I'm sure there are better/softer out there, but I'd think about giving it a chance. Most suspension seats mean you have to get another seat post and that can be it's own kind of process. The one thing I haven't liked about the seat on the Cruise is that it's a little slippery, especially with certain materials. I find that my butt winds up further up than it should be for full comfort and extension. Still, I've been okay with the stock seat.

Before you toss the seat you can try adjusting the seat forwards or backwards with the correct size allen key. IIt makes a big difference if your sit bones are not in the sweet spot on the saddle. And you want that seat perfectly straight or flat, not pointed up or down. You may end up going for a more padded or sprung comfort seat but you should invest in a set of allen keys anyways as you will surely need them sometime.

Only those Brooks leather saddles need breaking in. When you loosen it to slide back or forwards you will probably notice that now you can also tilt it ,possibly inadvertantly into a worse , non- horizontal position. (-:
