There is a teetotalling trend among young sporty people in the Western world (including Poland). Many mates I socialise with during gravel cycling rallies have never had alcohol in their mouth but they are happy to have a glass or two of the non-alcoholic variety when we meet for a dinner post rally.
Four members of EBR have met for real drinking at a pub. One of them ordered a regular Corona, another a full alcoholic Heineken, the third one's choice was Clausthaler but the fourth person elected Coke Zero.
-- What's wrong with you Stefan? Are you not drinking with us?
-- Well guys, if you don't drink beer, why should I?
The United States of America: The Home of Craft Beer. The craft beer of America, alcoholic or not is the best stuff worldwide. During our last stay in Houston, we visited a supermarket together with my manager, his sister (who is an American citizen) and her daughter (a born American). The daughter was showing me genuine American products: ham (very good!), processed cheese (acceptable), and then we went for beer. Asked for some good stuff, she enthusiastically pointed at... Stella Artois... Then I knew we are on a very different level. Luckily, the next section was full of American Craft Beer, and I was at home
No more, no less.
Guinness Zero: One of the best things in the world for a driver. The same taste, and the symbolic amount of alcohol of the original is totally unnecessary.
Donegal in Ireland is just gorgeous! (And devoid of hordes of tourists unlike Kerry).
