2017 Voltbike Urban

Great specs, but a little bit over my budget...
Dillenger Opia Was less than $900 shipped (to Oakland, CA). I like it better for my commute than the Juiced Cross Current Air. The Opia has a 250w motor but honestly, it feels peppy when compared to the Air’s 500w.

Both were internet purchases (ie no test rides). I probably would have just bought the Opia and be happy with it as a commuter.

Do you have link for the opia? And can you share an actual picture of it?

So I got my bike delivered 2 days ago. I can't find the suggested tire pressure for the Kenda 20x1.95 tire.

What PSI do you guys keep for the front and rear?

I believe the psi is written on the side of the tire. Can you post some picture of your bike? Please?

It says "Min 40 PSI Max 65 PSI".
I believe if you intend to use the bike in a flat solid pavement 65 psi is good but if in a soft pavement like offroad it should be 45 psi. Do you have the voltbike urban? For everyday commute i think 55-60 psi is safe range.

Yeah its going to be a commuter. Alright I will pump them to 55-60psi.

I am debadging the bike, I will post some photos when I am done.

edit
Also I got a email reply from Voltbike tells me just look at the tire for pressure. *Sigh

Really? Makes me think twice for the after sale customer service.

No need to worry about after sales service. The consensus on this forum is that Voltbike is great and responsive.

George and Alex is very responsive. I prefer calling early in the morning (Vancouver time). They usually pickup the phone personally and assist. I have 2 Voltbikes (Yukon 750 & Urban) and they helped me immediately when I had questions.

They even sent me replacement parts hassle-free and quickly.

I don’t usually email. I just call. Email is slower.

Thanks for the reassurance. You have a point there. Calling is much better than email.

Debadging? What does that mean? Does it mean that you're removing brand-name labels and filing off serial numbers?

Covering up the things I don't like with 3M reflective tapes. Also hiding all "electric" branding because de Blasio is an idiot .

It's been raining here and it will be raining the next two days. I can't test it outside, might as well post some indoor photos.

This is what it looks like out of the box, there is no assembling, you just screw on the pedals and the handlebar.

The bike is longer in person than in the photos. Profile view looks good. However when you walk closer, the boxy frame looks very big. IMO it breakups the flow of the curve lines from the rest of the bike. It would look better with some curvy vinyl color to make the box less dominating.

The front light is way too small IMO. I would definitely pay for a bigger light upgrade if it's possible. It's connected to the battery and turned on from the controller.

Like I said De Blasio is on a crusade to run of the ebikers out of town, so I covered up all electric branding.

They are 3M 608 series reflective tape so they reflect like street signs in the evening.
