2013 Jumper loose/noisy battery

Noticed a clacking noise that has been getting worse every week. at first I thought is was the stiff brake cable or shock cable hitting the frame but now that it is where it is, I discovered it is the battery clinking. I have found many people online with the same issue but no repair. any suggestions?

Kind of a crude fix but maybe just a couple of Velcro straps? Jandd.com had some good ones meant for your paint leg that would fit (I use one when I ride to the bus stop....on my leg at least!).

The underside of the battery has couple of thin cushy sponge. See if you can add a few thicker ones.

Its not a fun problem to have your battery clinking all the way down the road! If Lenny's idea of more pads doesn't work, please visit the dealer you bought the bike from and ask them for help. The EMotion bikes are well built; perhaps their needs to be a buffer of some sort inside the battery case (where most of the 'noise' originates). We've seen this with other bikes, not as often with a frame mounted battery.

Put two strips of silicon overnight that did it..for now. silicon is not as thick as the picture looks it is. Maybe I'll change them to dots Now about that GAP?

My bike had that sound from day one. I thought it was the fork for a long time. Just put a few layers of blue tape under the battery, but now the top of the battery is not perfectly flush with the frame, but I don't really care. If I was a perfectionist, I would have gotten more merit raises at work and have been able to afford a Stromer, which by the way I tested at the NY Bike Expo. Its nice but no big woop for double the price of a BH.

Just put some duck tape on the bike between the bike and battery. Does not take a lot. Will stop the clanking.

Or wrap duct tape all the way around. Really adds to the appearance!

Check in the woodworking section of your home center for adhesive backed cork, it will soften the rattles, won't compress as much as foam and will last longer. The gap doesn't look as bad to others as to you and nobody will notice if you don't point it out. Good luck with it!
