1000 watt mid drive

I might be putting the question before the bike ( I did not receive it yet still on back order) I ordered a Bolton 1000 watt mid drive fat bike.
I was thinking of changing the front sprocket ( i know you call it a chain something or other) My intended use is woods riding in some sand and some sand covered in pine needles.
The pine needles make it more like dirt than sand when it comes to traction. I am ordering the Rambo one wheel trailer. This is strictly a hunting vehicle. Off road only
My max speed would be 20 mph ( rarely do that on tight trails). I assume i can use a smaller sprocket ( i think it comes with 46 tooth) to get more low end power and not really bother my intended top speed.
My next question is should i change the rear cassette or wait until it breaks? Is there stronger stuff available or do you just replace what wears out? How about chains, better to break or wear them out than upgrade?
I am no wildman when it comes to riding .
I am almost 60 but a big guy which is why i am concerned about torque. I am 6'2" and 265 lbs plus the trailer weight and hopefully 140 lb deer .
Generally i travel a half mile into the woods and a half mile out!
I also would use the bike to explore sand fire roads for new hunting spots. I know its a lot of questions for a guy who did not sit on the bike yet. lol

I support BBSHD mid drive motors and I think you made the right choice. HOWEVER, any chainring smaller than 42T will create chainline issues and you will likely lose gear choices. Carry a spare chain pre-sized and with tool less connectors for back up.
EDIT CORRECTION LEKKIE DOES HAVE A 40T KIT, $175.00
42T Lekkie chainring is close to the 46T Bafang OEM offset. That would help! I didn't read whether the bike has a gear sensor to reduce stress on the cassette/freewheel. If not, Just don't shift under load and slam the throttle. Hopefully it's a recent build BBSHD with improved rotor.

That's what I changed my stock Bafang 46T to, a 42T Leckie, and it resulted in perfect alignment on my Juggernaut HD

I guess I haven’t paid attention. I didnt remember you had a BBSHD. Talk to me about the ride compared to your Yamaha mid?

I have a Biktrix Juggernaut Classic HD, it's a wonderful bike, one of my favourites. For a cadence sensing bike it's really tuned well, it runs better than my Watt Wagon Commuter Pro Ultra.

The Yamaha, as you would expect, is a very well tuned motor......it should be as in my opinion Yamaha produce the best motorcycles, musical instruments, and thousands of other things. Yamaha have been producing eBikes for at least ten years now I believe. I went into great detail about the Yamaha motor in the mid drive versus hub drive threads that have been running lately. I didn't like the Haibike with Bosch CX I had but I rate Yamaha and Brose as my favourite mid drives. The Brose tuning feels more refined if you just want quiet and smooth but I prefer the Yamaha for EMTB, fire road, and trail riding.
