    Help with Allant +7 Accessories

We did the same thing only using bags from a company in Santa Barbara called Jandd. Excellent set-up, just remember the bag can be removed PDQ if not attended.

Hello from Everywhere! Friends and Visits?

I'd definitely check the headset / stem and see that the stem cap it torqued correctly. Make sure those bearings are well greased whilst at it. Many new bikes seem to be lacking in this area. Lastly, check the front tire for run-out and how it's seated on the rim. Let the air out, break the...

    Allant 7

Just a comment on batteries, on flats we ride mostly in ECO then use TOUR and occasional SPORT on hills. On a full charge we've not come close to running out of juice even on a 30 - 35 mile ride. On my Rail which has a 625 battery same thing, but on that it gets lots of TOUR and occasional...

    Allant 7

Well done @IndyChuck ✅ We use ours in about the same way. It's a game changer to make getting out there easier and more manageable. When I go solo without my wife the ride tends to be a bit quicker but even riding together it's easy to keep a nice cadence. New bikes are showing up at dealers...

How many ebikes do you have?

What an interesting mix of bikes everyone has. We went from zero ebikes to three in one year. My wife and I each have a Trek Allant 7's and my mountain biking career has been extended with a Trek Rail 7. Still lusting after one more. Energica Eva EsseEsse9. Not sure of the class of motor...

    2021 Allant+ 9S

I'm in agreement with @Alaskan what looks like a great component group set may not live up to real world expectations. At least where we ride. CVT hub is curious? Read about it HERE

    Allant 7

There was a software update to 85Nm for the Bosch CX motor. Had all three of our bikes updated before leaving the shop. One Rail and both Allant's. If the bike comes packed in the original shipping box don't see why that would be an issue but you may be asked to pay the freight as well? CA...

    Help with Allant +7 Accessories

@glenward congratulations on your new Allant 7. Don't have any lock ideas as we don't leave the bikes out of our sight. eBikes are high profile targets for theft, but totally understand your wanting some security. For Allant 7 you have a nice alternative with the Racktime mount option. You...

    Allant 7

There's endless stem and handlebar options to make your bike comfortable as possible. I'd suggest maybe riding it for a while before making changes so you know exactly what will feel best. We started shopping for two Allants July of 2021. They were scarce then but a few scattered about...

Known Issues & Problems with Trek Products + Help, Solutions & Fixes

Something that I hope will help many with Allant's wearing the Schwalbe G-One tires or any other hoop that seems glued onto the rim. This is simple and effective way to reduce major aggravation when trying to fix a flat or remove a tire. The trick is to find a long flat piece of wood like a...

    Presta chuck for air compressor?

Similar to what @Rider777 uses this is stone simple and easy to carry. Only problem they're easy to loose also. Super handy! https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DN2MTKQ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

    Allant +7 / +7s rear drive hub (maybe +8 & +8s)

    Exactly, just the same. ✅

    Allant +7 / +7s rear drive hub (maybe +8 & +8s)

Only the front has the 15mm thru-axles the rear are the old style QR only using a 5 mm hex instead of an actual lever. At least it says both 7 & 8 are identical? Think it's because of the lack of space on the dropout. It's pretty tight in there when taking the wheel off.

    Trek Allant+7s freewheel hub

Anyone know how to remove the freewheel hub to grease the inside? I've removed the cone nut, washer and lock nut on the non-dive side. Not enough clearance on the drive side as the freewheel hub extends over the axle. Trek uses Bontrager alloy, sealed bearing, 6-bolt, 135x5mm QR hub on the...

    Allant +7 / +7s rear drive hub (maybe +8 & +8s)

Only the Allant 9 series has a thru-axle. Good to know how to grease the drive components to make them last longer. Especially if you ride in rain etc.

    Allant+7 thoughts/review

IDK what Trek is thinking but the tires do roll nice and offer a very stable and comfortable ride. What's your take? It's a fast bike by any standard so they probably made it as user friendly as possible.

    Allant +7 / +7s rear drive hub (maybe +8 & +8s)

These pictures might help understand what I've trying to figure out. Taking off the cone nut, washer and lock nut didn't get me anywhere. Want to open up the free hub to check grease and see how it functions. All bearings are cartridge sealed type. Even though it's an eBike it still uses a...
