RV Bike Rack for Lectric XP 2.0

I lucked out and discovered that our 15-year-old "Softride" receiver-mounted rack works just fine. It's made for holding 4 analog bikes, so the weight of two ebikes is okay, too. I'd say the key thing is to find a rack good for heavy ebikes. It will probably require a 2" receiver.

Lectric XP 2.0 - Real World Woes

Sorry but also very surprised to hear of your troubles. We bought two of the XP 2.0 st bikes just before Christmas 2021 and have ridden then extensively, now that the weather up here in Oregon is decent. The bikes have been wonderful and completely predictable. The controllers peak at 18...

    New XP Lite...

Similar feelings here, though we have the XP 2.0 st models, about 6 months old. I've found PAS to be awkward so I just use the throttle assist. We find that the hub motor struggles uphill from a standstill, but at about ~4mph it's surprisingly strong. Like you said, great fun, and I don't...

    Issue with Folding frame latch

I would see this as a convenience issue and not a safety issue in that if the pin falls out you simply can't latch the hinge. I cannot see a way of the latch failing while locked; the forces would securely hold the pin in place. But clearly a few bikes escaped inspection for this setscrew...

Lectric XP Lite first impressions (I'll update this after I ride)

Cute. That's how I feel most mornings.

    Lectric upgrades, swaps and insights

We got our two XP 2.0st bikes for Christmas '21 and love them. First thing was to swap out the freewheel for an 11-34 one; huge improvement. Side mirror, folding basket on back, FlatOut in the tires, phone mount, 5v charging source. Got the Black Friday special so we have the spring seatpost...

How to correct the speedometer on a 2.0

So this comment is a couple of months after my first comment, and with some experimentation it looks like setting it to 24.5 gives a pretty accurate odometer (and thus speedometer) reading when compared to GPS. EDIT: No, 22 setting matches Google maps speedo.

    Adjusting speedometer?

Speedo and odometer are locked together, unless you have some really weird clock issues. I know on our Lectric ebikes the readings were way off. Setting the wheel diameter to 24.5 (an arbitrary number not corresponding to anything) makes the numbers match the GPS. And I happily recommend...

    New XP Lite...

I agree the throttle with Cruise Control is one of the outstanding features of the Lectrics. I never had an ebike before, but after trying out the Pedal Assist modes I quickly concluded "No Thanks." Too twitchy for sharp turns at low speed. Anyway, I had ridden a motorcycle for years, so the...

Lectric 2.0 motor and hills. Going, going...gone?

Indianajo, these are Lectric hub motors? We've only had our XP2.0st bikes since Christmas but attack the hills around here often, pulling 18 amps for maybe 2 or 3 minutes at a time. No issues. As for brakes, I find it hard to believe that someone at Lectric said to "use WD-40" on the pads...

Lectric Mid Drive? Hmm.. Game changer?

I've never ridden a mid-drive, but the thought just struck me: It's kind of like the difference between driving an automatic transmission versus a manual in a car. In one, you just go; in the other, you think about gear changes. For me personally, I actually like operating a manual...

My Electrical people… I need battery help

This guy did a YouTube video testing numerous 18650 cells. He concluded that Chinese-sourced cells were utter junk. They may advertise a 48v14Ah pack when in reality it only does 48v5Ah.

Lectric Mid Drive? Hmm.. Game changer?

I rode street and mountain bikes for decades but that was years ago. We just got two of the XP2.0st bikes for Christmas last year, and love them. I do not understand the hostility against the 7-speed Shimano. Both our bikes shift effortlessly up and down. Snick-snick. What else do I want...

    New XP Lite...

As a newcomer to this sport I find it nice that there are so many choices out there. At this point we are very happy with the XP 2.0st bikes, especially after all our aforementioned mods and additions. Gotta say, though, that one ebike that really appeals to me is the Brompton electric. Some...

    Yes! Handlebars moved closer!

Here's an additional way of moving the handlebars rearward. I stumbled across a YouTube video of a fellow who demonstrated how to turn the steering stem around 180 degrees so that it sloped rearward rather than forward. I had no idea all one had to do was to loosen a large bolt easily...

    New XP Lite...

As the very happy owner of two XP 2.0 st bikes (bought just before Christmas 2021) I am thoroughly confused by the philosophy behind the introduction of this bike. Why? --Non-kiddos who ride this bike will want fenders to avoid puddle soaking --non-standard battery --people will want a rack...

Hi, Newby From la Mesa, Ca. Looking for local San Diego "Lectric" bike owners

We bought two of the XP 2.0 step-thrus just before Christmas and love them. Amazing quality considering the price ($1K!) You have extensive experience with bikes of all sorts, I rode street and mountain bikes 30 years ago and rode a turbo'ed Honda 550 bike in LA for a decade before it was...

First Time buyer looking for opinions on daily use hybrid ebike, with throttle

New to eBikes but rode extensively both street and mountain bikes 30 years ago. From the YouTube videos I've concluded that NO LOCK will survive a battery-powered angle grinder. That said, something like a relatively-light FoldyLock will make them work to get through it. I combine that with...

First E-Bike! $4k Budget and I am confused with options

I am new to the eBike thing, though I rode extensively on road and mountain bikes 30 years ago. We bought two of the Lectric eBikes just before Christmas, and I was surprised that an inexpensive ($1K!) 20" fat-tire folding eBike coming from China was built with such remarkable quality and...

Recommendations for a quality bike that can handle hills, and is comfortable for arthritis?

I'm coming upon this thread a month late but wanted to toss out a couple more ideas for accessories. We bought two Lectric XP 2.0 step-thrus just before Christmas and love them. Very well-made and under $1K! They fold but with all the features on these things they are 65+lbs. So instead we...
