    New XP Lite...

As a newcomer to this sport I find it nice that there are so many choices out there. At this point we are very happy with the XP 2.0st bikes, especially after all our aforementioned mods and additions. Gotta say, though, that one ebike that really appeals to me is the Brompton electric. Some...

    Yes! Handlebars moved closer!

Here's an additional way of moving the handlebars rearward. I stumbled across a YouTube video of a fellow who demonstrated how to turn the steering stem around 180 degrees so that it sloped rearward rather than forward. I had no idea all one had to do was to loosen a large bolt easily...

    New XP Lite...

As the very happy owner of two XP 2.0 st bikes (bought just before Christmas 2021) I am thoroughly confused by the philosophy behind the introduction of this bike. Why? --Non-kiddos who ride this bike will want fenders to avoid puddle soaking --non-standard battery --people will want a rack...

Hi, Newby From la Mesa, Ca. Looking for local San Diego "Lectric" bike owners

We bought two of the XP 2.0 step-thrus just before Christmas and love them. Amazing quality considering the price ($1K!) You have extensive experience with bikes of all sorts, I rode street and mountain bikes 30 years ago and rode a turbo'ed Honda 550 bike in LA for a decade before it was...

First Time buyer looking for opinions on daily use hybrid ebike, with throttle

New to eBikes but rode extensively both street and mountain bikes 30 years ago. From the YouTube videos I've concluded that NO LOCK will survive a battery-powered angle grinder. That said, something like a relatively-light FoldyLock will make them work to get through it. I combine that with...

First E-Bike! $4k Budget and I am confused with options

I am new to the eBike thing, though I rode extensively on road and mountain bikes 30 years ago. We bought two of the Lectric eBikes just before Christmas, and I was surprised that an inexpensive ($1K!) 20" fat-tire folding eBike coming from China was built with such remarkable quality and...

Recommendations for a quality bike that can handle hills, and is comfortable for arthritis?

I'm coming upon this thread a month late but wanted to toss out a couple more ideas for accessories. We bought two Lectric XP 2.0 step-thrus just before Christmas and love them. Very well-made and under $1K! They fold but with all the features on these things they are 65+lbs. So instead we...

How do you inject tube sealant?

New to eBikes but after looking at various YouTube videos I bought FlatOut, which many say is a better Slime. The goop apparently works very well. I recently came across a bunch of YouTube videos done by "Project Farm," in which the guy tests multiple examples of numerous tools, such as...

    It's arrived....but....

Bought two XP 2.0 ST eBikes just before Christmas. One bike was delayed by two weeks, the other by three weeks. Both were packaged brilliantly and nearly everything was adjusted properly. On the second bike, though, the metal cage that protects the derailleur was bent in slightly, preventing...

    Yes! Handlebars moved closer!

We've had our Lectric 2.0ST ebikes since Christmas and love them. Well-made, lots of features, and an amazing bargain for the price. One minor issue I noted early on was the riding position. For my body at least I had to lean slightly forward while riding, causing fatigue in my wrists and...

    Need 3" x 20 nobbie tires asap

Kinda late for the OP, who wanted tires ASAP, but got an email fro Lectric yesterday. Two 20x3 tires on sale for $50.

    mirrors for lectic 2.0

I bought this handlebar-end mirror for each of our two 2.0 ST bikes. Very compact so there's less to break, yet very effective. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07DW71C9L/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s01?ie=UTF8&psc=1

USB Charging Port on Snapcycle R1/R1 Step Thru/ S1

Bought two of these for our new Lectric 2.0 ST ebikes. They mount on the handlebars and a short USB cable can be used to reach over to the smartphone mount on the other side of the Lectric LCD display. The cable is perhaps 4' long and it is zip-tied to the main cable harness and runs under the...

Any ideas on a Water Bottle Cage for Lectric 2.0?

As already mentioned, the attach points on the back of the frame are for the excellent Lectric bike lock. I bought an adapter from Amazon and then an adjustable bottle carrier. It adjusts small to hold a typical supermarket plastic water bottle, but also adjusts large (about 1/2" further out)...

    11 -34 freewheel

The ones I bought for our two 2.0 ST bikes were the cheaper ones. Unless one can point out some construction differences, I think the price difference is just one of those things. I bought an excellent high-tech bidet (for a toilet) for about $230 a couple of years ago; six months later it was...

Which CO2 inflator are you packing?

Just bought one from Amazon. Solid, well-machined, and tiny. The one to get--

    Keyhole location

On another thread I mentioned that I was also concerned about contamination on our two SP bikes. I reduced the exposure by putting a small square piece of duct tape over the key frame opening, then slicing an opening fore and aft with a utility knife. With the key in and turned on, much less...

    Brake Lever Integrated Brake Light?

It would seem to me that someone could offer a cheap black box that looks at the motor interrupter line coming from both brakes and trigger the wire going to the rear light. As for hydraulics versus cable, yup. But oil the cables and the feel is much more sensitive and powerful.

    11 -34 freewheel

Six-month gap from the previous post here, but wanted to add a very positive note for the 11-34 Amazon $30 freewheel. Two brand-new Lectric 2.0 ST bikes, a bit nervous working on bike mechanicals after 25 years, but piece of cake for both. Derailleur remained spot-on, though I did max out the...

Intermittent Error messages if key is left "ON" for days

I've had two of the 2.0 ST bikes with key "on" since mid-December. Both seem fine so far, can't imagine how a component within working spec could fail like that. Perhaps an intermittent connector somewhere? Perhaps a faulty key switch?
