    Vado 3.0 Question

That is strange. I rode a test Vado 3.0 about 10km after the battery ran out and it felt just like a regular bike, no resistance. Is this perhaps just a comparative feel? (Like if I get on my road bike after my ebike, it feels like I'm dragging a sack of potatoes)

When will Bluetooth be activated on Vado?

Last I heard from Specialized was January. So February.

Should I keep my Turbo Vado plugged in all winter?

The general advice with Lithium Ion batteries is to store them at no more than 80%. So I'd suggest leaving if off charge (it won't decline much) then top it off when you want to ride.

Any idea how to replace battery lock on turbo X?

Are you able to get the battery out? If not, try loosening the adjuster with an allen key and wiggling the battery out - it the one opposite the charging port.

    Vado 5.0

I really like the look of the tyres on the Vado 5.0; if you aren't having puncture issues I'd say keep them. I have Schwalbe Energizer Plus on my Turbo S and have over 10,000km zero problems, but I think the original tyres felt nicer, and despite being slicks are better in the wet. I just never...

SPECIALIZED TURBO X ELECTRIC BIKE rear hub noise. Any ideas?

It sounds terrible! Must still be within warranty if it is an X.

    Repacking a Turbo battery

Let's hope that GoSwiss survives. I imagine all the electronics are provided by them.

    Battery Charging

It stops charging when full, and won't restart again until unplugged and replugged so it does no harm to leave it attached.

    Turbo Como

Interesting. In my tests the Moustache Friday Speed (same Bosch Speed drive as the Trek) beat the Turbo S and smashed it on the steep stuff. On the steep stuff the Vado 3.0 beat them all (it was effortless actually). It wasn't a fair comparison on the longer hill because the Vado was limited to...

Rear hub disc mount a bit wobbly

Yes it is. It's hard to tap with regular taps because it's a blind hole.

Rear hub disc mount a bit wobbly

The problem with the rear disc mounts on the legacy Turbo's is that the screws are a bit short, and can get wiggly over time ultimately stripping the threads. You can feel this as play in the system if you grip the rear brakes and rock the bike backwards and forwards. Q: Has anyone found a...

    Turbo Levo chain questions

Don't know what it is about stock chains but they don't seem to last. I presume you've replaced cable inners already? Often the most overlooked problem.

    Where is the restriction?

I can confirm it is in the battery. New 19Ah 691Wh batteries are available again. I got mine last week. Curious that they are blaming the USA. Batteries and bikes are made in Taiwan.

    Turbo Levo chain questions

Same advice as any MTB: replace chain and cassette together, otherwise slipping occurs. You might need to replace chainring too. If no slipping occurs then you are OK -- a worn cassette or chainring does no harm to your chain, but the reverse is absolutely true. Also, use a proper bike chain...

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

@ROJA I like the tyres. Haven't had a single puncture or issue with them, still plenty of tread left. There is a lot of glass and debris on our cycle lanes. I find them to be comfortable, running 40-55psi. I am running 47mm width. I had to fiddle with the mudguards a bit initially as they are...

Turbo Owners -- What's your total mileage? [OFFICIAL MILEAGE THREAD]

Just replaced by battery for a new 691Wh battery :-) Yay, full 500W Turbo all the way... Thought I'd record my stats - the mileages will be slightly under st they are all from Strava which doesn't record everything (eg in the basement at work). And funny story, the odometer set itself to zero...

    Update for Turbo?

Yes and no... maybe your dealer slightly misled you thinking that it was the same as the older Turbo S (a dealer told me the same). To my knowledge Specialized has never advertised the base Turbo as being 28mph. I don't think a class action to find the missing 1.5mph would be a great...

Specialize S-Works Turbo Levo FSR 6Fattie/29 (Carbon)

I do ebike reviews too so I'll wade in here... Court and co (and me) can do reviews of commodity bikes and be a source of information for a bike like the Carbon Levo, but you should not buy a bike like that based on a review by someone who doesn't ride like you or in the terrain that you ride...

    Turbo Como

Looking forward to this. Has the same v1.2 motor as the Vado 2.0/3.0/4.0 which is still a grunty motor. Gruntier than any Bosch including the CX according to my hill climb tests.
