Have you ever thought of large group ride organisers? Like gravel races? Several organisers ride long routes to verify them; for several formats. Often, changes are necessary as late as two days prior the race.Sounds good, but multiple users on route feels a bit social media to me
Ah, so YT is not a social mediumfeels a bit social media to me
Congratulations, Rab!New bike day
Thank you Stefan, yes its a 12 speed with 50x34 front chainrings and 11x34 rear cassette! I was quite surprised it came with the mudguards and rack fitted but very happy it did given the rain!Congratulations, Rab!
Is it a 2x drivetrain?
The e-bike has come equipped, a good thing for Scotland and long rides!
The most proper e-bike for you! A real road machine with conveniences! Now, you can hide your jacket into a pannier or a rear rack bag when it has stopped raining! I apologise for being skeptical about the Dolan, it looks a thing!Thank you Stefan, yes its a 12 speed with 50x34 front chainrings and 11x34 rear cassette! What does your impressive new steed weigh in at?New bike day and as mostly happens it arrived late and didn't leave me much time for a ride, spent about 45 minutes replacing the stock saddle with my own...what a faff that was! Anyway I managed a 25 mile ride and I'm very impressed indeed, it is so comfortable and the di2 shifting is excellent! The thing is a rocketship on downhills, the Mavic Ksyrium SL's coupled with the Vittoria Randonneur tech 700c x 32mm tyres are superb! Sorry about the rubbish photos, will get some decent ones soon...the weather was pretty rubbish after a dry start but the mudguards did such a great job and the ceramic coating I paid for meant the bike stayed clean through the rain!
I will do a proper review soon, it might get a long ride done on Sunday weather permitting! At the moment it is looking ok, most other days are looking wet...

Its around 16kg (35lbs) including the battery! With the battery removed its a lot easier to carry up my 2 flights of stairs than the Giant! What does your impressive new steed weigh in at?
Rab, just to say something for a perspective:Its around 16kg (35lbs) including the battery! With the battery removed its a lot easier to carry up my 2 flights of stairs than the Giant!
Yes it has walk mode Stefan!Rab, just to say something for a perspective:
-- My Vado SL 1 bare weight (the internal battery inside, all equipment out) is also 16 kg
-- My Vado 6.0 weight with the battery is 26 kg.
However, either e-bike has the Walk Mode, so I can walk my e-bikes upstairs. I assume yours (as a road e-bike) has no Walk Mode?
Hi everybody, just a note that tomorrows race at Gdansk has moved to Warsaw, I checked the gravel tonight and it hasnt been brushed, hope this is OK ..ciao.Have you ever thought of large group ride organisers? The capability to improve the routes by several different people is a blessing.
Ah, so YT is not a social medium
EBR Forum is not, either![]()

Trying a new iPhone neck mount for quick video clips. Impossible to frame with it, as the screen is an inch from my chest.
My favorite view coming down Sheep Camp Trail

I always love the expansive view of the ridge above the reservoir. ( riding my 55mm Vittoria T70 tires )
A similar view looking at the ridge, but crossing the bridge across HWY 280.
My sunglasses cut out the haze that I see in the videos. It was very warm mid-90s.
Jeremy, thanks for the heads up. I copied the link "Watch on YouTube" into different browser (Firefox) without being logged into YouTube and it worked. Weird I know, I had the same settings as the first video.
It works for me, both in the thumbnail in the post as well as on YouTube. I guess Jeremy might have different settings?Jeremy, thanks for the heads up. Looks good, maybe use a wider angle, you dont need to worry about framing as much.Trying a new iPhone neck mount for quick video clips. Impossible to frame with it, as the screen is an inch from my chest.
