Hello! Searching for advice on adding electric assist to a classic Yuba Supermarche. Would ideally put a mid-frame torque-sensing motor but need to identify one that will fit despite the asymmetrical chainstays. Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! :)

I don't see a problem with the asym chainstay as much as what you will end up with ground clearance wise overall with any of the typical kit type mid drives as they protrude from the bb quite a bit and 20" wheels don't leave much in the way of ground clearance. Not sure what your terrain requirements are but 20" wheel hub motors can be very torquey due to their small overall diameter and you may look at a geared option as well?

There are a few people who've successfully added mid-drive motors to their supermarche in the Yuba Bicycle Owners Facebook group. It sounds like the Bafang BBSHD is NOT compatible with the frame. You should join the group and search for a few of those posts.
