Your suggestions please

Hello all. Would love your suggestions on my next bike. I’ll spend up to $3000. It will be used on mostly flat bike loops. A throttle is a must as I had one on my Pedego Interceptor (sold last year when moving) and want to have the option of using it. Also a step-thru is a must. I’m 66 and it’s easier.

I like the Dost Drop, another Interceptor, or, at a much lower price point, the RadCity Step-Thru 3. Very different bikes I realize. If you think another cruiser type is better please recommend. By the way I love the specs and looks of the Ariel C-Class but they’re not shipping until Feb 2021.

Also, I am not handy and prefer that a local shop work on it. There’s a Pedego store near me and that’s one reason why I bought the Interceptor last time. IF I decide to spend more, what does everyone think of their Conveyor?

Hi, sounds like you would be fine with a new Class 2 Interceptor, the Conveyor is a Class 1 using a Brose mid-drive motor with a torque pedal assist sensor but no throttle. You might like to test ride a Magnum Low Rider which is a class 2 cruiser, they have good distribution with local shops, they're showing out of stock online but you can sign up for notification when they get them back.

Thanks for your suggestions. I bought a Pedego Boomerang Plus. It has all the features I want. I love the build quality and very important to me is that there’s a Pedego shop 10 miles away from my home (I am not handy at all) that has great customer service. The owner delivered the bike to my house and he picks it up when it needs maintenance. I know this from experience because I bought an Interceptor from him years ago. Stay safe.

My wife and I are considering each buying a Pedego Boomerang Plus in a couple of months when she gets used to her new prosthetic leg (below knee amputation) and is ready to ride a bike again. I took a test ride on a Boomerang a couple of weeks ago and was amazed. Anything you can tell me about your experience with it would be appreciated. Thanks.

I currently have three Pedego step thru Platinum Interceptors for my wife and I plus a guest. The Boomerang is on the short list as a fourth bike for a disabled relative to use. My wife and I were quite impressed with the Boomerang when we test rode several different Pedego models. With it's very low step over height, the Boomerang would be ideal for someone with limited mobility. We have some joint issues but not yet severe enough to requite a super low step thru bike. We like to ride trails, some of which are pretty rough, so we ultimately chose the Platinum Interceptors for the added ground clearance and 10 speed drivetrain. If our riding was limited to roads and smooth bike paths, we likely would have chosen the Boomerang.

After looking at several other brands, Pedego had the best warranty and a nationwide service network which also influenced our decision.
