I registered online via the Yamaha website, Just wondering if anyone has received their battery yet and how long did it take?
Did they give any sort of shipping acknowledgment or did it just show up unexpected? I feel like since it's such a pricey item that I should have a better idea of its whereabouts...

I feel similarly. Per the promo docs, they say the battery will be shipped "within 120 days" so it could be quite the wait... I plan on calling my dealer later this week though.

Yeah, I don't mind the wait but I would appreciate some communication on their part. I assume just registering on the website & providing the bikes serial# was all they needed, not really sure....

For me it took exactly five months (to the day) to receive the 2nd battery (registered 10/11/2024, battery received 3/11/2025). Got a UPS heads-up the day before, no communications from Yamaha.

I NEVER registered my Yamaha e-Bike after I heard they weren't sending the extra free battery if you hadn't already registered by a specific date.

But a battery showed up unexpectedly just now from Yamaha! Very surprised considering I never registered the bike. Apparently the dealer handled that. Maybe I should go ahead and try to register the bike just to make sure I get the 5 year warranty.

Note - I never contacted the dealer or Yamaha at any point since receiving the e-bike. So, this was a shocker when a battery showed up on my doorstep today.

I have just received my battery as well. The endcap is not here, but I do know that they are sending that separately. From you others that have received your battery already, was the battery completely dead when it showed up and just needed to charge? Or did you have to wake it up in some manner? I have seen batteries that you had to do something special with them, i.e. press the power button for 10 seconds something along those lines. BTW, I did contact Yamaha customer service several times inquiring about this.

I didn't receive an end-cap, so I didn't install it on the bike.

But a red LED lights when I press the button on the battery. And when I hooked it up to the charger, the charger light went on and the battery LED flashed. So, it looks good, but just has a low charge.
