Let's just say, Yamaha has a better engine, but Bosch has a better car. Meaning, for example, that Bosch's displays are vastly superior to Yamaha's. So it really depends on what you're after. In terms of the engine, I'd take Yamaha over Bosch every time, it just has too many advantages to even consider Bosch. On the other hand, if running two batteries in parallel or having a bike computer with built-in GPS navigation is important to you, you can go for Bosch for a little extra money.why do Haibikes with Bosch typically cost $1,000 more than those with Yamaha mid drives?... I have the Yamaha and am happy with it but I wish it had more power but I don't think the Bosch has much, if any more power
If you want power, you might want to get a Bafang Ultra-equipped bicycle. This gets you the power, but now you need to find/build a large enough battery to power this beast.
