Why does EBR hate recumbents?

I don't think... Why does EBR hate recumbents is the proper way to investigate this issue.
I think a more appropriate question would be... Who the hell likes recumbents? 🙃

It's like using a wheelchair without a disability

I have made something like five recumbent bikes electric with middrives. My main problem is that they are too low to be seen. There has been inflation in car, truck, and SUV hood heights with many higher that and average height woman's eye level. Getting run over and dragged is not as appealing to me as perhaps some others. I also like to stand on the pedals such as when making tight or bumpy maneuvers.
I purchased an electric recumbent last year. Everyone that tries mentions they do not feel secure at intersections because their head is at car bumper/grill level. I felt the same way.

I like to see them on cyclepaths, but on the road Im genuinly terrified for the rider.
Our 80s tech bro made an electric one, it still attracts ridicule to this day .

This one had a heavy and unsupported direct drive rear hub motor. The rear takes a lot of weight. I replaced it with a extra-strong Yuba Mundo wheel which meant wider axle dropouts. Then I had to make the wiring so it could fold and the boom could move for differently sized riders. I painted the mid-drive and used polished crank arms.
It sat in a bike shop for six-months while they strung along the owner. I had it done in days.

Why does everyone have a wheelchair seat in their automobile?
At their office desk and dining table?
Why not a small pony saddle like you sit on?

I guess you bought wrong machine. Video on riding a recumbent around cars.
Using a fairing for speed before bike motors were made.

If it helps with some type of disability... God bless, good to see you out and about.
Otherwise that's exactly what comes to mind every time I see a recumbent.... Why?

Though the NYC Department of Public Works just purchased 12 to help speed up sewer inspections.

"There are a few unique recumbents that use two wheels like a traditional bicycle,"
Millions have been sold worldwide, that is not "a few" or "unique". EBR is intentionally minimizing recumbents to cover their myopia and ignorance.
I don't think so. I admire recumbents like I admire tandems. Very cool machines ... for someone else.

Allright. Me to, like Jeremy, I am out. Anyone so entrenched in an opinion, will not budge. I am used to seeing it in the Specialized forums. The thing I have heard about tandems is that wherever your relationship is headed, a tandem will get you there faster. I do not have anything to add about unicycles. Are you required to juggle?

How many upright bikes from new to the market Brands, has EBR reviewed in past year?
How many recumbent e bikes from decades long established brands have they reviewed in past year?
A better question would be: How many of these big established recumbent ebike brands have offered to provide bikes for EBR to review in the last year?

IF the answer is more than zero, THEN a follow-up would be why EBR decided not to review them. (The obvious assumption being that given a choice they will choose to review bikes that generate the most interest/clicks before extreme niche bikes like 2 wheel e-recumbents which are a niche of the niche recumbent market)

I think your Lightning looks interesting and is the style of recumbent I would pursue if that were my thing, but I'm not a fan of their circa 2001 website with multiple broken links, lack of clear specs, or somewhat generous definition of American made.
