You do agree, that if they are mechanical brakes, following instructions for hydraulic brakes would create more problems.

I kinda assumed he knows if they are hydraulic or cable actuated. Hey Duke, does your caliper have a cable that moves when you squeeze the lever? If so, disregard all previous advice.

Dealing with a sticky piston right now - Tektro Orion 4P. Between our anniversary and Mothers Day bike maintenance got pushed to the end of the weekend.

I don't have any brake fluid or bike specific mineral oil on hand. Any problem using plain ole mineral oil on the piston? We have some laying around that my wife tells me was purchased to help a constipated reptile out.
