Which one would you choose?

Full suspension all the way. You won't even look back. For where you ride it will be pure bliss.

Add a Topek Beam rack MTS and a Topek Trunk bag with panniers which fits a per pack in the center section and you will have a suspended cargo capacity that will serve all but overnight rides and get your eggs home without making an omlet.

Cool I will check them out!

We couldn't answer your question without knowing what riding you were going to do. I been riding mountain bikes for 30 years. Had a good think and I bought a Xroad FS7. Loving it

Just saw this, the first one is hardtail , race is FS. The components on the race is also quite good(much better than the first one) and it has a great color.

You made the right decision and I think you will love it. Now the only thing left is to grow a mustache and you are good to go.

Yup no black diamond trails for me. Blue trails are scary enough! But this will have to wait for now after reading this on Trailforks...
NOTICE: Mountain biking irresponsibly during the COVID-19 pandemic puts you and others at risk. Riding injuries put unnecessary stress on medical systems that need all available resources to fight the virus, and group rides increase your chances of exposure. Please follow all local health authority directives, and DO NOT take risks.

OH I just remembered I have one of those hanging on the wall in the garage! It will work. The only thing is it tends to rattle a bit.

Steve, did you wind up getting that Moustache, the blue, dual suspension bike? If yes, very, very nice, congrats! Much better choice then the Gepedia.

As for a rear rack, forget about that Thule, that's for a hard tail bike. Check out the Old Man Mountain Racks or Robert Axle Project website.

Contact them and tell them you want to fit a rear rack to fit a through axle, giving them your axle size as per the Moustache specs. They should be able to fit you up with the proper Robert Axle Project rear axle that will fit their Old Man Mountain recommended rear rack.

As I've advised others on this site when inquiring of a rear rack, the thru-axle mounted downstay of the OMM racks take the brunt of the weight you will be carrying, not the downtubes as on that Thule or Topeak.

They are very responsive and friendly folks who I am sure will be able to steer you to the right application.

Here is my Haibike Full FatSix, with front and rear OMM racks and through axles. (And the choice in bomb-proof, rear mount, dual suspension bicycle racks are slim as in OMM and nobody else at this time)
Mike that does look like the most solid solution for the rear. I wonder how bad the handling would be with front panniers with a powerpack on each side?

Have you bought the Moustache, @steve mercier? If so, many happy rides! I'm sure you'd find the right rack for the bike (and I think it should be a rear-rack).

Do you plan to de-restrict the bike?

Steve, why the new bike. What happened to the old one?
Nothing happened to the old one yet Captain Slow although I plan to possibly give it to my son post Covid 19.Right now I am using it to pull a trailer full of groceries weekly to my house and my Dads house. I bought it knowing it is a tad too big for me at 49cm because it was on clearance. The new bike is 44 cm plus a dropper post. I wanted to get it before powerpacks become extinct and I wanted the older CX before they are extinct since I love that motor and I can de-limit it. The only problem is working out how I am going to carry more batteries without pulling a trailer.

The difference between suspended cargo and unsuspended cargo is substantial in terms of ride quality, stress on the bike and how your cargo survives the journey.
