Wanting to upgrade my existing Ebike and need help

That might be the case were it not for the relative simplicity of installing and configuring a KT controller.

Almost like I should have listened to someone's first post about KT controllers ;)
Nothing wrong with checking out your options. Clearly you've learned a bunch!

I've never used one so I have no idea how you would change anything you didn't like.

I'm just curious why they don't have screen connectors?!? Nothing about them I don't like I'm trying to understand why some controller have screen connectors and some don't.

There's nothing about them you don't like as you haven't been exposed to some of the parameters available to you, that can be changed to work best for you and your riding habits - using the LED display.

I generally blow them off as undesirable, but it seems like I've read about blue tooth modules, built into controllers, that allow you to change some of these same parameters. Knowing your druthers here, you may want to do some research there....

I'm not sure I am following?

Not sure I know what you aren't following?
Do a google search for the LCD 3 or LCD 8 .pdf owner's manual document for a rough idea of the parameters and parameter options.

As far as the blue tooth, all I can do is share that I've read about that capability. Not sure which controller.

My question was why do some controllers that I saw on Amazon sell without LCD wires.. not sure why I am looking up KT LCDs and talking about Bluetooth. You lost me here ;)

I guess I'm coming from the direction of if the controller isn't able to be configured, why use it when there are other options that ARE able.

I am not going to roll the dice that I can locate/buy a controller that has the exact requirements I'm looking for. Wattage vs. speed based cadence sensing for instance......

If you want to try both to see which you prefer, go for it! I'm spoiled, that's just not a variable here.

Sorry I am not saying I want to use it I was just curious why some have LCD leads and some don't.. I 100% want to make sure it has an LCD lead.

I'm looking at this controller And I emailed EggRider to ensure its compatable. The 18 MOSFET dual version

I'm assuming you want to install this controller on your seat downtube? If so, the 18 mosfet KT controllers are pretty big (long) physically. You might want to confirm it will fit. That's the bigger reason I went 12 mosfet with 35a tops - which still has plenty of capacity.

What spec are you looking for?

This controller is 48V 50A, I know you already mentioned ASI is super expensive but I'm very intrigued by this controller.

It's not available for another 2-3 months their site says unless it's out of date
