Greetings, and thanks Mods for giving me access to the forum. I ordered a Ver. 2 Level only hours after it was offered on the Aventon website on 03/01, and as promised at the time of pre order - and actually a day early - it shipped on 04/06 and should be here in New England on 04/13. I’m looking forward to trying it out.

As a former, very active cyclist who woke up one day in his mid fifties, I am thinking this will be a good bike to once again enjoy 20 to 30 mile rides on PAS 1 in the moderately hilly area where I live. I am also an enthusiast of flying camera drones for the purposes of aerial photograph, and that rear rack looks perfect to strap a drone case to and head out for the day into new territory. I’ll update this post soon, hopefully after a ride or two..

The bike arrived this morning in good condition. Assembly took approximately 45 minutes including some minor adjustments to the rear derailleur for smoother shifting. Pretty typical for a final build from the box. I put the battery on charge right away, and once finished with assembly, I placed the battery on the bike and tested everything with a short ride. Satisfied it was all good, I placed the battery back on charge for another two and a-half hours to full. It seems like the battery shipped at maybe 50% capacity or so. Once fully charged, I took the bike out for what was a 10 mile ride. I live in a moderately hilly area which is the reason that I became interested in E-bikes, and the Level performed very well for my needs. I currently weigh 220# and am 6'2". I went with the Large frame, and it is perfectly sized for me. To me, this is a bike first, which means that it should be peddled versus using the throttle, and I settled into a pretty comfortable groove using PAS 3 to ride along at 23+/- MPH. When I encountered hills that are usually a challenge on my none E-bike, the PAS kicked in, and it was like having another rider on the bike. I am very impressed with the technology.
