That has absolutely nothing to do with "repairability" does it?till you try a high quality torque sensor don't name that statement. I have no delay in power I push I ahve instant power and it feels natural.
On point, I think it's going to make a difference in what bike system you're working on. There are a lot of variables. Like Jes2020 says, the geared rear hub PAS sensor is a pretty simple affair that's easily replaced/serviced. The torque sensing mid drives might be the most difficult.
