Thorn proofing fat tire bike's tire, any advice?

My electric Fat tire bike's 4 inch tires seems to attract thorns, several flats, I used Stan slim with mix results.... What do u guys and gals happily use? I like to upgrade tires or tubes, currently have stock Orion 8 crawler tires and using Presta tubes. Advice?

The number one recommendation over on the mtbr.com forums would be to go tubeless; I haven't had this issue myself but going tubeless does seem to generally help in this area.
