hah yeah you do. I have slowly morphed my preferred lighting to multiple directed beams to give me a nice swath of light that you just can't get with a single unit, even one with multiple bulbs in one unit. The two center beams are very tight and long range. Too tight for street use. But if I angle two further forward, I have a very good long beam forward that is tight and centered. The two Niteriders are angled down and one click outboard (the mounts can be loosened and click-stop rotated). Their wider beams give me wider coverage to the side. My beam pattern is thus a big pear shape with the wide end closest to me and ideal for urban commuting. All of the lights are kept on low at about 200 lm each so I get good life out of the battery packs (I don't need them on hi since there are 4 of them. If I am in an area with no street lights I can kick them up. These let me be seen - I use them in the day too - and see things on the ground like potholes coming up. I charge once weekly in my office garage which is where the pic was taken.sorry this might be a little off topic, but do i see 4 headlights on this? Nice setup and Bike!
Also its not 4 lights... its five A front blinkie will get washed out if its running near other front headlights unless its crazy bright. So I mount it low at the center on the front rack. In keeping with the theme, these kinds of lights survive really well on their own without waterproofing.
The horn turned out to be a waste of time. I just haven't bothered to remove it. A much better horn is my "HEY IDIOT!" horn that is proven to penetrate earbuds and closed car windows. Pics were taken in my garage at my office, where in summer I have big construction area fans to dry sweat, or a space heater in winter to help me warm up and dry off. Also the water jug for bottle refills that you noticed. USB and ebike chargers. Comfy chair. Carpet. Air compressor. Door with two locks. Its a pretty sweet setup. He has a camera holder, four headlights and a horn plus a blue five gallon cooler for beverages perfectly positioned on his handlebar.
On the other hand the local winos think so too and I had an altercation two days ago that ended up involving the cops. So we live in an imperfect world.
