Decided to run my ebikes on solar

@usclassic I think it would be prudent to only buy equipment that was made in America (or Canada 🇨🇦 in my case) that is fully UL listed. (Or CSA approved in my case.)

Perhaps purchasing from an RV equipment retailer where they don't sell crap because they don't want to deal with everything being returned or burning down somebody's fancy RV.

I bought the cheapest one because I don't plan on using it after the Anker arrives.

Keep Murphys Law in mind.
If something is going to fail, it's going to fail when you need it most.
(Like when the grid goes down)

Try to stay away from anything with WiFi, Bluetooth or any type of remote connectivity to help protect your equipment.

If the grid goes down, you don't want it to take out your equipment with it.
Cyber attacks are real, so don't give them a back door to your equipment.

Solar flares can take out the electrical grid, and could possibly harm your equipment as well??

Ohh,..
And any nearby lighting strikes need to be considered.

My Wi-Fi box blowed up when a bolt of 🌩 hit the telephone pole next to my house.

It took out the cable TV wires as well.

I bought a new WI-FI box, and a surge protector.

As a kid I had a homemade crystal radio. The tuner/capacitor was made from a cardboard orange juice can. The copper antenna was 60 yards long from my bedroom to the barn. I would listen to radio from mostly Quebec. I had on the earphones when it was hit by lightning. Maybe my dad unconsciously wanted me dead. My hair was on end in a large ball from the charge.
