Oh, it's worse than that. The problem is it’s almost impossible to link any single weather event to “climate change”. Assuming there is climate change it might have happened any way. It might have been worse. There is just no way to know.
it is impossible to link a single event specifically…but the trend is not our friend.
No denying that.... this has been the year of the
U.S. domestic climate refugee. That´s pretty hard to deny.
I get what you are saying-- and I feel that this is a really interesting point. For the last 50 years, and particularly in the last 25, we've been flooded with pseudo-scientific / corporate blather, where outlier examples are cherry-picked, aggregated and assembled as if they prove something they do not. Given a certain set of life experiences, I think I can understand how folks might conclude that anthropogenic climate change is another example of people being deliberately misled. The problem is it’s almost impossible to link any single weather event to “climate change”. How deep from the surface was that measured very accurately around PPM 300 ? What name, what location. What sold me was the atmospheric concentration of CO2. This can be measured very accurately from ice cores, we have very good numbers going back over two million years. It was around 300 PPM when I was little, it's 417 PPM
Exactly. You see pollution, then that means temperature is rising. So I don't think of 'pollution' and 'climate change' as separate ideas.
Trying to enlighten a flat earther is an utter waste of time.I get what you are saying-- and I feel that this is a really interesting point. Climate is also an incredibly complex system (which I am sure Dodgeman understands) that produces a lot of bizarre, outlier events and influenced by an incredibly diverse range of variables. People do get struck by lightning; it really does rain fish sometimes.
I mean, what the hell is wind, anyway? When we got our last rescue dog, he'd never lived in a place that was very windy, and I remember the look on his face when he went in the back yard when it was blowing 50 or 60 MPH: "Oh, come on! Very funny, quit kidding around and shut off the fan. Where is the fan?!" I feel that way myself sometimes.
Part of the issue is that climate "change" doesn't necessarily just mean warming or cooling, and it encompasses more than just temperature, precipitation, and wind. Atmospheric pressure, the chemical composition of the air, and changes in the magnetosphere have profound impacts on weather and the habitability of the planet-- and drastic changes in even a single metric can be an extinction level event. We could all die long before the planet becomes too hot to live on because of the crap we pour into the air and water-- and I'm not at all sure it would be heat that kills us first. So I don't think of 'pollution' and 'climate change' as separate ideas.
What sold me was the atmospheric concentration of CO2. This can be measured very accurately from ice cores, we have very good numbers going back over two million years. It was around 300 PPM when I was little, it's 417 PPM now. And my best read on the research and personal experience is that cognitive capability really crashes when it gets up to around 800. At the rate we're going, that could happen in less than two centuries. I can FEEL the difference when indoor CO2 is getting towards 1000 PPM. I cannot believe that humans, or animals, or plants can tolerate that kind of abuse indefinitely.

I never consider it a waste of time, even when science deniers deny NOAH's scientific articles.Trying to enlighten a flat earther is an utter waste of time.
It is disposable fun while the party lasts. Obama is 60. He might get another 15-years of Summers out of it. Kerry might get 7.Can someone explain this to me? Obama and both John Kerry push the climate crisis... So How is it or why is it they would both buy beach front properties at Marthas Vineyard?
Don´t say that, 45 will want to build a golf course & hotel.Last week Kodiak Island Alaska was warmer than Palm Springs.
We live in a world of disparities such as income. Former presidents have a big footprint, all of them. And politicians tend to be hypocrites, all of them, from George Washington, and before that. Finger pointing is a form of avoiding taking leadership ourselves. What is important is taking responsibility ourselves. I sold my car in January of 2018. And have used ebikes daily ever since. That would be the same for all of us.. so what is the point then? I would say hypocrite but in order to be that you have to believe in what you are saying.. They do not... Actions speak louder than words.. They dont believe any of it.. shows in how they live and fly around the world.. All there actions point towards its a all a lie.
Big planes, Big boats, Big cars, big houses... And people blindly follow but never look... Willfully following know what they are doing isnt any good for the climate but they still back them none the less. Amazing.
You remind me of the Senator (I forget his name) that said climate change was a hoax because when the ice melts in my drink my glass doesn't overflow. Can someone explain this to me? Obama and both John Kerry push the climate crisis... So How is it or why is it they would both buy beach front properties at Marthas Vineyard?
Acting through a private realty trust, Mr. Kerry paid $11.75 million for 18.5 acres and a house overlooking Vineyard Sound.

They both bought at basically zero sea level ... That says a lot... Why woudl they purchase if its going to be destroyed soon? Insurance scam? Or maybe they are not Sheeple?
45 is in the red. And he can't do that from prison. He and his organization is going down. He has burned every investor and loyalist, throwing them under the bus.Don´t say that, 45 will want to build a golf course & hotel.
