Swap Como 4.0 48T chainring with Vado 4.0 40T chainring

Any idea if Deckas bolts could be ordered separately?
Sure. You don't need "Deckas" bolts. 6,5mm length should fit.

They are available in various colours, even in the fasterest red:

Thank you so much @TS25! I was very worried at night. Now it seems I'm getting the Deckas already on Monday, and the bolts on Wednesday. What would I do without you?!

@TS25: Do you think riding the Vado without the chainguard is practical?
As long as you do not wear flared pants. (or any other wider trousers)

Not obeying to this rule I went over the bar of my bike as a youth wearing my bright yellow flared pants and they got hooked in the chainring. 🤪

A pity, as I could reuse those flared pants attending a 70s party these days. 😀

P.S.: so Jacek is busy?

I'm not seeing Deckas branded bolts as a separate item. Conventional bolts like THESE should do the trick. They're rated for 5-9mm thick material. Your LBS may also have these in stock. With a 4mm ring thickness that leaves 1-5mm for the spider arm mounts, but as you mention this won't accomadate the chain guard.

As to the chain guard, others have posted that they attach it by drilling new mounting holes, or just leave it off. I personally would give bolts sized for attaching double rings a try, like THESE. @bellandbottle talks to this point HERE, though it seems his replacement bolt sets were a bit too long. 1mm spacer rings are available for this issue...😖

I might want to ride without the chainguard, as I always ride with trousers legs kept tight around my ankles.

You know what? Yes, there is the S171400002 Specialized chainring available. In Denmark. They don't ship to Poland. Unfortunately, I currently have no friend there :(

UNBELIEVABLE!

A German online store nubuk-bikes.de had exactly the ring I needed, and it will arrive with DHL soon!

I say, Germany is the "European Home of E-Bikes", @TS25: If something is doable, it is always Germany :) Now, I will be stocked with chainrings for two years or more...

Time to head for some winter 100milers after the repair to wear the new chainring so your spare ones do not rust. ;)

Indeed.
You know what: I used "Specialized" as a searchword at nubuk-bikes looking for your chainring and it didn't show up!

A little update: Before the new chainrings arrive, I had a Vado ride to really test the new chain, cassette cogs, and the trued rear wheel. All works smoothly so far :)

Still waiting for the bolts... And for the original replacement chainring.

So your pedals are looking for repainting to match that colour? 😼
I would be forced to replace the blue RaceFace pedals with black Stamp 7... So I'd rather wait for the black original Specialized chainring. It is already in Radefeld (Leipzig)!

Just realized looking at this pretty chainring, our chainrings are aluminum, and the cassette is steel. Go figure. I'll be watching my chainring from now on.
