At 5000+ miles I've had a few repairs. Mostly basic maintenance. Tires, tubes and disc pads. I've had to replace 5 spokes on the rear wheel and have it trued twice. Recently I had the return spring on the twist throttle fail and it has been a chore getting that resolved. The replacement grip from the mfg was from their newest model as the old one is no longer in production. Unfortunately it isn't compatible with the old controller. I have to decide if I want to replace a perfectly good controller just to have a working return spring. (The function the the throttle still works) While troubleshooting the twist grip I discovered some burnt connectors to the controller so I had the chance to clean those up myself. I do all of my own maintenance with exception of trueing the rear wheel which has a hub motor.

As of May 25, 2020, I own 4 ebikes. 3 of them have 2,000+ miles:
  1. Arrived September 2017.. only about 500 miles.. 2018 Extreme (brand) TrailMaker Elite(model).. 24v./9.6ah.. rear hub BaFang 300w.. A total PoS. I haven't ridden it in at least 12 months.. Only gets 6 miles per charge.. A total waste of $945+..
  2. Arrived December 2017.. 3,346 miles.. 2018 Extreme(brand) Sedona(model).. Dual suspension.. 48v/10.4ah.. rear hub BaFang 500w. No problems other than the fact that it is a lethargic dog—PAS5 is mandatory for any sense of forward progress. Plus, it only gets 12 miles per charge on level ground. I have relegated it to “grocery-getter only” status. I consider it to be a waste of $1,600+..
  3. Arrived April 2018.. 13,425 miles.. M2S(brand) KUSH(model).. dual suspension.. Fat Tire.. 48v/16ah.. rear hub BaFang 750w.. This bike is an absolute beast. All mechanical issues are just normal replacement as a result of wear and tear.. $1,800 very well spent.
The only structural item has been a split seat tube at the ½ way point (right above the control box). Launching off curbs is (apparently) NOT recommended.. I just went ahead and repaired it (easy enough to do) instead of dinking around with the warranty option.
Dealing with 4 flat tires (of which 3 were on the rear hub rear wheel) during the 1st 2,500 miles enabled me to FINALLY remedy that issue. I now have a total of 15,800 continuous flat-free (and counting) Fat Tire miles on the combination of this KUSH and the M2S R750 ebike mentioned next.
  4. Arrived July 2019.. 4,875 miles.. M2S(brand) R750(model).. hardtail.. Fat Tire.. 48v/16ah.. rear hub BaFang 750w.. I bought this ebike based on my fantastic interaction with the KUSH mentioned above. Absolutely ZERO structural/mechanical issues.. It just keeps on keeping on.. I just rotate these 2 Fat Tire ebikes for my daily 50 mile bike rides. Again, $1,600 very well spent. Awesome toyz..
  5. Due for delivery on May 28, 2020:

I ordered this ebike in black..48v/14.5ah.. rear hub MXUS 1,000w.. $1,700 (time will tell)..

Converted conventional pedal bikes with ebikeling.com geared hub motor. Had trouble getting a battery from amazon & ebay that would produce more than 50 watts, solved 9/18 with a luna 48v 17.5 ah battery. Converted yuba sram thumb shifter to suntour twist shifter, that broke a cable after a year. Not yuba's fault. Use jaguar or clarks cable for long life. Hub motor cover comes loose occasionally, thumps. Consider keeping screws tight basic maintenance. throttle failed 0 mph in a heavy rain once, cleared up with a hair dryer 26 miles later. Broke front fender with my foot. 2 1/3 years, ~5000 miles, no trouble. Normal wear items, 3 1/2 sets tires, 1 set brake shoes, 1 chain. 8 handgrips (pool floats). 4 seats and I still don't like what I've got.

My Juiced CCS had 7k on it, & is now a parts bike. a mere skeleton with grass growing up thru the frame.
It was fun, R.I.P. The bike hasn't been made that I can't destroy.

my bulls crossover has about 3700 hundred miles on it since nov 22 no issues I have not caused noisy rotor when I put different pads on it and a strap caught between the fender and wheel that tore the tail light wires out and broke the fender.

In 17K miles I have had my bike serviced twice, and tweaked (modified) twice. Replaced a BBS02 with an HD... not necessary but it was time. Replaced the front fork with a model that could be repaired rather than discarded, again not necessary but it was time. Also had the trailer modified. s*it happens, and there's always entropy to deal with. The more you use it the more you have to service it. Especially if you hard-hard and put it away wet cowboy. https://photos.app.goo.gl/giX1j43erZwV9s1V7
