surface604 BOAR...upgrading from 36 volts to 48 volts...ANYONE done this?

hi..i bricked a battery recently on my 2016 ish boar 36 volts. 13amp stock battery.. a new battery is approx 500$ 36volt...so it makes sense to just buy the 48 volt battery for the same price on the surface604 website.

a 48 volt battery conversion requires a new controller that will manage 48 volts..is what i've been told..which is another $200..

IS anything else needed to do this?

so if anyone know some of these questions? i'd love some advise.

The Boar 36V battery is longer and shorter than the 48V. Also the controller is significantly larger on the 48V so you would need to modify the frame in order to make it work.
