I've been out of the US since March 30. Before the tariff stuff happened (I think). I'm just wondering what the price of ordinary stuff is like in America these days? So let's start with eggs. And as a comparison, all you folks in other countries, how much are a dozen eggs where you are? (And while we are at it, do you buy eggs in a metric ten, or by the dozen?)

Usually between $4 and $5 (USD) for a dozen, but I bought some for $1.99 last week, with the condition that I had to spend at least $20. Picked up a cut of beef, some italian sausage, and italian rolls. Chicago combos! Still haven't opened the eggs.

Egg scarcity is due to bird flu. There is some politics for that, mainly bird flu research being halted to save $$$ for tax cuts.
