Took a last ride around Booth TX today. I'll be riding around Sealy where I'm moving. This school for blacks was built in 1929. Difference between my kid time in Texas and now. The deserted rodeo area would have been busy then with local teens.

A young moose with its mottled coat wandered into the hood this evening looking for a snack. It was nibbling at a Cotoneaster shrub across the street and suffice it so say we thought that it was safely far enough from my wife’s garden. Five minutes later I glanced out the front window and noticed that it was gone much to Sai’s relief. I opened the front door to see where it might have wandered off to only to discover that it standing a meter from our front deck happily munching away at a hydrangea.

I’m no bull-y but there’s no way I would have moosed with it if it was a male in its prime. Judging by its stubby antler buds, he was just a yearling and was behaving more typical of a curious child. Nevertheless they can be unpredictable animals so perhaps I should have known better. Being an avid gardener, the missus didn’t find the whole episode very amoose-ing.

I took the first pic wish I could take the second. it is only 4500 miles away I could ride it twice a year and only 1700.00 to fly and be dull.

It's one thing biking and Amish country to share the bike path with horse and buggy but this was a new one for me. These folks were moving their horses from the winter pasture to the summer pasture. Very friendly folks from Danville Ohio

This is at ifrestoen and I dont know they actually know there is a hole in the windshield the truck looks ike it has sat there for awhile.
