SHOW us YOUR PIX here .... Odd, WeiRd ,UnUSuAl or EyE CaTchIng things from your rides

I think our dogs like the trailer but they are always trying to get out. our bulldog mix is the worst. I have made reinforced straps that are short. but after so much tugging today he was able to get his front feet right at the edge then saw another dog and tried to jump out. flipping the trailer. I dont think he hurt himself but it was crazy. We went right to the pet store to get one of those spiked collars to stop him pulling so much. the problem is he is long enough its hard for him to fit if he is back far enough not to get out.
Foofer , your world is like a gong show ... (-:

now he has this-plus even shorter restraint.
we had to take him for another ride to get his nails trimmed and he did much better.

Pretty cool before and after pics of Mt St Helens. I have only seen it from the air after the eruption and it's breath taking...

I remember that day like it was yesterday. I lived in Albany, OR at the time and was headed to Battle Ground, WA for a wedding. The main church doors opened directly to a perfect view of the erupting mountain. A few days later we had a light dusting of ash in Albany. It had reached the jet stream and circled the globe. I could see the later eruption from my back yard 190 km (118 mi) away. It has been interesting watching the recovery over the years.

We got some of that fallout here in Vancouver B.C. as well.

Another fly by of a different variety today

I usually ride this beach with the tail wind but today it worked out to ride into the headwind which wasn't bad and made for a nice smooth cruise after getting shaken up on the logging roads above.

And I came across this herd of Elk on the logging road, they were in a clearcut on the right side and took off too the left. I got my phone out and took a movie and caught 17 of them but missed the first 5 or 6. They sure do make a racket once they get in the woods! Sorry for the poor quality screen grab.

Beautiful river scene, but it triggered my PTSD for the Canada geese. Lived with them on a lake for 18 years. Impressive aviators and navigators, devoted parents, but really lousy neighbors.

As the resident population on the lake exploded in the last decade, the surrounding greenbelt became a carpet of goose poop. All grass near water was reduced to stubble, and dog walks became a real challenge, as she considered the darkest droppings hors d'oeuvres.

Aw c'mon... can't be THAT bad, can it?
What was that Beach Boys song... Oh yeah...

"It's a little goose poop
You don't know what I've got... ... ... on my shoe..."
