I've been keeping my eye out for an old Simpson, haven't found one yet, but I'm patient. One will show up eventually

If you don't mind dealing with eBay, there are several available:

A couple of years back. I picked up a 260 similar to this one:

It was listed as "parts only" but managed to refurbish it.

Tried and true old school quality that doesn't exist today.

ok crazy thing on a road with a wide bike lane. a line of cars on the left at the red light. someone in a little kia getting into the bike lane. thought they were going to turn into the driveway nope. was thinking a right turn nope. well they ran out of room so drove the right hand wheels up on the curb and drove that way till the light change and got back in line. no clue what was going through their head.

While working on air conditioners in school the instructor was telling us about AC ripple on the DC voltage line and how you can’t “see” it on a digital meter. Mr. Simpson was able to see it and show it to the class. Mind blown by most. I think a lot of students are now seeing my admiration for these meters. Simpson still makes them, but they will cost you.

HP 41 and 48 calculators are legends to the land surveyors of the 1980’s and 1990’s. They made chips for land surveyors for both models. I have an HP41cv with the boxes and manuals and same for an 48gx.
I have the advantage plug in module and circuits as well on my 41 CV. I also have a 42S which is more pocket friendly.

Perfect day to hit balls and take a ride in Palm Springs. Might be the last week of good weather. I think it was in the 70s today. Next week it looks like they are turning on the oven for the summer...
Nice! Feels like Palm Springs here just without the green lawn and Bougies. We hit 26C (79F) today and haven't seen a drop of rain since the snow melted.

This fellow did a nice job turning his 1960s Schwinn cruiser into an Ebike. Although I am not a big hub motor fan, I really appreciate his sensabilities and it seems like the only reasonable way to retrofit a vintage bike with a motor. Notice the discreet wiring and upgraded brakes.
