I see these painted cobbles here and there in my SoCal beach town — usually in small groups. The cobbles themselves are there for the picking at many local beaches, especially in winter.

These little paintings are a public artform unto themselves and often bring a smile. Most are cheery with bight colors. Any messages tend to be positive or uplifting. Some are quite clever. Some were painted by talented artists, some by very young kids.

I have seen people do chains of them and invite people to add to them. this may have been one, too.

Well unboxing my brand new Verve + 3 Gen 2, I came across this happy dance Inside the Box. Pretty wild as I tried to follow it and I almost did an endo!
Complete with instructions for the new bike happy dance. Sweet!

@Jeremy McCreary – Know how much you enjoy Lego so I thought about you when I spotted this display in Shizuoka City which touts itself as the plastic model capital of Japan.

Ha! Japanese-like warriors have shown up in many LEGO sets over the years, most recently in the Ninjago line. As a result, many related minifigs and minifig parts and accessories have been introduced.

What this reminds me of even more are all the plastic car and airplane models I glued together as a kid. Wonder how many IQ points I lost to Tester's glue and paint fumes without even huffing the stuff?

LEGO doesn't put parts on sprues very often. They know that all parts will eventually be used in ways they never imagined (that's part of the fun), and sprue burrs might get in the way of unanticipated connections or juxtapositions with other parts. They're also safety conscious in the extreme and probably dont want to give young users a reason to go looking for an Xacto knife.

Are you and Sai still in Japan?

New sighting at L'atelier de Paris, a tasty little French bistro on the way to Coast Highway rides:

A convertible Mini for their catering business? I get the sentiment behind that bumper slogan, but seems like a terrible waste of Belgian chocolate to me.

Like @Stefan Mikes , I mix cycling and pastries more often than I should, and this is an excellent stop for that purpose. The name means "The Parisian Workshop". Till proven otherwise, those are bicycle gears.
