First ride in a while - day 20 after TKR (Total Knee Replacement).
Just 20 minutes while watching some golf from the Augusta Women's Amateur.
Great finish to the golf tournament by the way.

Healing trajectory is pretty good - hope to be outside on the bike in a month or so.
I'll need to stick to the easy stuff for a while I think.

My physical therapist assistant - not sure if he's paying enough attention to my form.

Bike is a semi-recumbent and pretty comfortable.
I'm able to do smooth rotations, but no tension on the flywheel yet.

Today will be much the same, but will be some men's golf from Texas.

Not sure when I'll get back to the golf course - but the plans are similar to the bike schedule, should rehab continue to be positive.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Sooner or later, both of my knees will need replacement (more for climbing stairs at home than for cycling), and it's encouraging to hear that you could be riding outdoors again in under 2 months.

What warnings and restrictions have you been given when that day comes?

Meanwhile, hoping that someday soon there will also be memory replacements.

Good to hear you are improving mate! Keep it up! :D

Pretty simple warnings - take it easy (nothing too strenuous) and don't fall. Oh, and "your Black Diamond" runs are history.
That's no problem - I rode my last Black Diamond run quite a while ago, but there's a really good variety of simple trails near me that I can do. I find bike paths boring after a while.

Not much cycling, but I went for a ride from Holyhead to find where I learnt to scuba dive forty years ago.

It's somewhere next to this castle.

I'd found out they long abandoned the dive centre and the attatched hotel
All overgrown and collapsed.

This was the entrance, and you stepped straight out the back into the sea

This used be be a busy hotel.

I can't believe I learned to dive in a Welsh coastal castle and didn't really notice at the time 😂

Visited this slightly famous train station on the way back.

How fitting, on this day after an eclipse, to show us another Welsh place name that could stretch to the moon in a slightly larger font.

And what's with all the repeated letters and strings?? Surprised your forebears didn't invent RLE (run-length encoding) centuries ago. (Yes, I'm old enough to remember RLE from the days when 32k was a lot of memory.)
