Ebiker of the day is this gentleman from Newfoundland. He said that this is his second Bionix motor. This one is 250 watts. The original 500 died with 6000km on it after being left out in a New Brunswick winter. He said that he has obtained a software removal of the speed governer.

Black lump was blocking the way. Sounded Air Z horn. No response. Cycled closer . Bear slowly retreated. Suddenly noticed cub to my flank and made a hasty retreat. There is a 30 meter steep drop at that point. I am so glad I did not meet them half way down, or worse, half way up.

Mushroom of the day: Shaggy Manes can be eaten but they turn black in 24 hours and should not then be consumed. They are very good at soaking up heavy metals in the soil. I think I will take a pass on these.The smaller ones in behind are likely Cartilidge- top fibre caps. They stink and are posionous, nevertheless dogs will eat them.
