Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Lovely day yesterday with solid sunshine and 24C temps. First ride in shorts this year! Sun screen mandatory.
Headed South as I often do with the idea of extending the usual ride.

Grass and blackberry brambles are thick and high...

Much equestrian waste to avoid on this path...

Out again?!!???

Heading East on a long and NOT winding Colebrook road, with a view of Mount Baker...

Water stop at a golf centre...

This hill doesn't look like it's 13 - 15% but...

Seems palatable...

Good shop for some UK goodies...

Dude is drumming hard, and it was loud at the football game...

Tall residential building on the way home...

Ah yes, those BC blackberries. Don't ride to close to them especially if you're on blood thinners:

Today is Canada Day, and that gave me an opportunity to go for a ride!
Warmer at 25C and again sunscreen mandatory.

Hey Dave...
What?
Where are you going to go today?
I dunno... I'll cross this bridge when I come to it...

Usual entrance denied... alternate access accepted...

Here we go...

At the apex looking East (up river)...

Not yet...

Looking at the North Shore mountains...

Over the North Arm of the Fraser river...

Wanna buy a car?

Cruising along the North side of the North arm...

Floating homes...

Water stop...

Heading back on the West side of the bridge looking down river to the Pacific...

Tempting on Canada Day, but just stopped in the shade to finish my water with Nuun tabs...

Massive car hauler heading under the bridge and off to Japan...

Hey Dave
Can I come up and get about a 100 yds of those BB plants/shoots?
I want to start them along a fence row for eating and wildlife cover.
I have none around here....

No visible hurricane scars in this spot. Rebuilt or unscathed?
Rebuilt. there are still plenty of scars around it. Multi story condos and resorts are still in recovery mode and still empty. the Insurance disputes have slowed down some recoveries. The multi level restaurant that is to my right in the photo and out of view has a high watermark line of 15 feet from the storm surge of hurricane Ian.
The old beach town vibe is gone and the properties are being consumed by the big developers.
On a more positive note, there are many more beach views when riding down the island with so many buildings washed away or bulldozed after the storm.
We were here during the storm but weathered it out in an eighth floor condo in Naples. We had a gulf view of the storm and knew our place was doomed. we are fine now, but the area will never be the same. We had two less significant storms since Ian with surges of a few feet. Many people here are in denial on the impact of global warming.

Gorgeous day on Sunday and had enough time to squeeze in another trip to Mud Bay.
Tripped over a gent I've seen a couple of times now playing trumpet underneath an overpass. The natural reverb is the attraction...

Can barely make out the water line...

Was a windy day, but decided to take a break in the shade for some water...

Heading back I was just in time to get held up waiting for a very long BNSF train...

Was very warm, but the breeze and the shade on the trails was welcome...

Once heard distant choral music on a rail trail ride near my house. How odd, I thought. Where could it be coming from?

Turns out, a chorus of local school girls were singing under the rail bridge ahead — also for the acoustics. The songs were totally unfamiliar, but they sounded great!

That's what I'm talkin' about!
I'd love to try my guitar/vocals there just for fun!

Main Building of Warsaw Technical University was completed in 1901. Here, my own photo during the students' strike in December 1981, just days before introducing the martial law on December 13th the same year. We demanded more democracy in academic institutions.

I was a student on strike there myself. You can see four floors in the picture but there is a hidden fifth floor there, and that's were we lived. The floor is, like, a round closed corridor encompassing the whole circumference. I brought my acoustic guitar with me. Once, I sat with the guitar on a chair and stroke a single note. The sound returned after a second or so, so long the natural reverb was! I started playing a melody on single notes... The sensation was awesome!
