Show us pictures of where you ride your ebikes!

Finally got a decent ride in. TBH I think I went too far first time out, but I had ants, so did 60kms. By 40 I knew I was over doing it, but whaddya gonna do...

Spring has sprung?

Lots of construction on the Mud Bay path...

He caught the bug for flying... see what I did there? Shut up Dave... One minute later he took off.

28kms in at the end of Mud Bay path...

Lots of varied scenery — I enjoy that. Mud Bay looks lovely. A branding consultant could fix that name.

Looks like a great blue heron in the 2nd photo down. One graced our Denver lake for 3 years then vanished. Elegant birds in all but their squawk.

What are the distant peaks in the 2nd photo up?

Those are part of the mountains on the North Shore of Vancouver where I grew up (no you didn't... it was just an attempt)...
Cypress, Grouse, Seymour, and other peaks. https://www.awalkandalark.com/vancouver-north-shore-mountains/
Lots of fun to be had there skiing, mountain biking (kind of a mecca for MTB) known as the "North Shore", hiking etc.
North of that would be Squamish and Whistler which are again a mecca for MTB and skiing etc.

20% grade is doable but its only a couple hundred feet with a 90 degree turn at the bottom and the path had moss and stuff on it no way were we going to attempt that.

Early 7 mile jaunt in the neighborhood not alot of activities at the park community swimming pool is closed kind of wanted to wade in the water.
An inoperable drinking fountain if you zoom in on one picture you will see that the handle had been removed most if not all park goers drink bottle water but be nice if the City and County fix it for watering dogs also an old telephone stand also inoperable something you don't normally see nowadays.
I use to work for State Parks and Recreation. So I couldn't help myself from taking notice of neglect from C&C maintenance crew.

What a day to celebrate the first day of Spring with a ride. There’s still plenty of snow around this neck of the woods but who am I to complain when the sun is out on full display and warmer temps are finally here to stay. Just have to head out earlier in the day before conditions become too soft.

Edit: I rode an out-and-back on this singletrack which expanded the length of the footage.

This winter's been just one Pacific storm after another. Many arrive with a day of wind first, then rain. Lately, I've been riding the coast during these wind events just for the excitement — well, that and to see what the waves are up to. Heavy surf and sustained winds of 15-25 mph are common.

Since the low pressure centers are often roughly east of us when the wind fronts come ashore, the initial winds are often roughly from the south. And that means stiff headwinds and tailwinds in equal measure on these storm rides with little in between.

On yesterday's storm ride, the wind was 15-20 mph from the SSW at around 57°F with humidity near 100%. Members from northern climes like @Prairie Dog and @RabH would probably kill for these conditions right about now. But here in SoCal, the wind chill was enough to empty out the usually busy campground store area at Carlsbad State Beach.

The surf was definitely high this time but by no means extreme.

Look closely at this high-tide shot and you'll see a single bike next to the blanket. Not sure how it got there, but no way it was ridden on that gravel with those tires. The young girl seemed totally unfazed by the windchill and heavy surf.

Wind shapes the shrubbery atop the sea cliffs. These campground tarps flapped and flapped but held their ground.

These 2 pelicans rode the updraft above the sea cliff for at least half a mile without ever flapping their wings. Pelicans may look awkward on their feet, but they're strong, graceful, and precise on the wing.

Much to Roxie's dismay, dogs are illegal on most San Diego County beaches year-round, on or off leash. Fines of $250 to $400 are common. The 2 closest exceptions are at Cardiff and Del Mar, 7 and 16 miles to our south.

See this on my way to work it's Huli Huli chicken trailer. It's cooked over Keawe wood something similar to Texas mesquite only better smoked flavors.
Huli means rotate so Huli Huli means it's been rotated twice or more.
If you zoom in on side of trailer where my
handlebar grip is pointing there's a ebike chain doing the job of huli huli attached to an electric motor.
It's $20 for one it comes with cold coleslaw Mac salad and rice, chopsticks plastic knife and forks.

Nice 40 km ride in 7C weather yesterday. Pics include a log cabin built in 1875, a Sherman tank at Huron County Museum in Goderich ON & the shore's of Lake Huron. All the time I spent detailing my 2019 Voltbike Bravo was worth it. Two people I know asked when I bought a new bike...lol

You've got the same bike as I do. I see yours is a 2019--mine is a 2023--has the reliability been good so far? :)
