We took a ride across town to a Apple store to exchange our watchbands on our Christmas apple watches. It need up being a 35 mile round trip. Lots of climbing on the way there. 1600 feet. One street was 16: for about two blocks then turned into 20% just made it up two blocks then back to 14% even on a e tandem 20% is really hard. Some pics of the Willamette river from different locations we coursed two different bridges. A old sub at OMSI and mt hood from about 65 miles away. last pics the road looked worse in person

Pretty nice weather here on the coast of OR for this time of year.

Sand trail.jpg

One of the trails on the Bay Ocean spit that connects the bayside road to the beach, all rideable with tire size as shown with e power.

Well it usually goes to the beach but this turned me back and got back to the beach on the next trail up.

Was able to do a 36 km ride today, putting me over 6000 km since July. That’s an equal distance to riding across Canada! Unexpected to be able to ride like that on January 15 in Ontario. We are in Covid lockdown again here, so traffic was pretty light everywhere. I was surprised to find our nearby Provincial Park open.

Congratulations on going the distance on your trusty steed! ;)

Looks like a very capable rig... does the water bottle really stay put off-road?

Lol, thanks! I am really happy with the evolution of the Verve into a mostly trail bike, albeit on flat/grassy trails around here with few serious hills. Great range and quiet enough that it seems many don’t realize it’s an eBike. I’m not so keen to upgrade to more power now.
The water bottle is held pretty firmly in its cage... the only time I lost it was the first day I got it... war wounds to show.

Fresh snowfall this morning... good time to try the snow tires before the plow/sanders come out. Also the Bontrager 1300 lumen light that I haven’t really tested yet. Everything works great. The Marathon GT 365 tires are really grippy in fresh snow. And some deer that visited overnight.
